  • The next game in the Darksiders series is a spin-off, a top-down co-op game starring Strife and War. Though Darksiders Genesis looks like act two of Diablo 3, it seems to play like classic Darksiders as you can see in the video of the first 16 minutes above courtesy of IGN. I don’t know about having the player visible behind obstructions while the enemies vanish, though. Here are the system requirements. Darksiders Genesis is due out on PC and Stadia in December.

  • It’s the near future but it’s also the 1980s, which describes the cyberpunk genre as a whole but more specifically describes Black Future ’88. In this particular slice of dystopian technofantasy there’s an architect with his finger on the nuclear button at the top of a big nasty skyscraper, and you’ve got a time limit of 18 minutes to stop him before your heart explodes and kills you. Buffs and curses can be combined to alter your abilities, and there are five playable characters to choose from.

  • Amid Evil is one of the best of the recent crop of retro shooters, with its pseudo-Heretic style and a magic staff that shoots planets. It came a long way over the course of its development, and now you can experience that journey with a free expansion called Ancient Alphas. Amid Evil’s journey isn’t over, however. Developers Indefatigable shared a single screenshot of how their game will look with ray-tracing enabled, and like Minecraft before it the difference is actually noteworthy. As for wh

  • Soko Loco Deluxe is a train tycoon with simple, relaxing gameplay and an adorable lofi aesthetic. Soko Loco Deluxe definitely deserved the treatment. Soko Loco is a nice change of pace from games like Transport Fever or Railway Empire or Mashinsky, all of which I love, but which can get quite complex at times. The design of Soko Loco simplifies the whole genre down to a puzzle of limited space, placement, and optimization. They released the original Soko Loco on itch.io a little over a year ago,

Ubi put together the handy graphic below that shows the basics of limb penetration. For instance, a shot through the arm and into the chest will only deal chest damage. With limb penetration in mind, it’s not hard to imagine other enemies (or friendlies) getting caught in the crossfire. To be clear, I have not spent any hands on time with the Lancool II. Case makers have gotten better about cramming more bells and whistles into sub-$100 enclosures, and in this instance, Lian Li opted for tempered glass side panels. Even more unique are the flip-open covers on the bottom chamber,
