pcgamer wrote a new post, Dying Light 2 announced and Chris Avellone is designing the story, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 5 months ago
Dying Light 2 was just announced during Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference, and, surprisingly, Chris Avellone is working with developer Techland to design the narrative. Set 15 years after the initial zombie outbreak, Dying Light 2’s post-apocalyptic setting is borderline fantastical, a big departure from the vaguely Middle-Eastern setting of the first game. As Avellone explained during the presentation, however, Dying Light 2’s world will change radically depending on decisions you make. In o

pcgamer wrote a new post, Watch the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 trailer here, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 5 months ago
At Microsoft’s E3 show today, CD Projekt showed up with a new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer—the first big showing of the Witcher 3 dev’s next RPG we’ve seen in some time. It’s not the gameplay reveal we might’ve hoped for, but as far as cinematic trailers go, it certainly sets a tone, doesn’t it? Here’s everything else we know about Cyberpunk so far. Now that the big cinematic trailer is out of the way, we expect the next reveal to involve some proper play. No official release date has been announced,

pcgamer wrote a new post, Gears of War 5 coming in 2019, stars Kait from Gears 4, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 5 months ago
Gears of War studio head Rod Fergusson got on stage at Microsoft’s press conference to announce Gears of War 5, coming from The Coalition in 2019. The following trailer was surprisingly character-focused and combat-light, setting up a story focused on Kait, one of the squadmates introduced in Gears of War 4. The video shows off new wintry environments, melee combat with a giant mace, and new bio-machine enemy types that look vaguely Borg-esque. It’s hard to tell from a single trailer, but Gears

pcgamer wrote a new post, Jump Force is a new Shonen Jump mash-up fighting game, see the trailer, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 5 months ago
The debut trailer for Jump Force, a Shonen Jump mash-up fighting game, was revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference. Set in a ruined city, the trailer shows a suite of Shonen Jump characters duking it out, including Goku, Naruto, the One Piece guy, some dude from Death Note, and— listen, I’m not a great anime correspondent. So far, Jump Force mainly seems to be a game about beating up Frieza. Jump Force is coming from publisher Bandai Namco, but we don’t have more details on the developer yet

pcgamer wrote a new post, Fallout 76 is 4 times the size of Fallout 4, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 5 months ago
Todd Howard appeared the Microsoft E3 2018 press conference to tease Fallout 76. He didn’t confirm whether it’s a proper full-scale open world Bethesda RPG or not, but he did say that, whatever it is, it will be “four times the size of fallout 4.” It’s a prequel, which might be why the world looks less brown and utterly ruined than Fallout games tend to be. We’ll almost certainly learn more at the Bethesda E3 2018 conference happening later today, but the trailer showed some sumptuous vistas. St

At Microsoft’s E3 press conference on Sunday, things started with a Halo-shaped bang. Microsoft teased a new Halo game called Halo Infinite, “powered by the SlipSpace engine.” “With Halo Infinite we will join Master Chief on his greatest adenture yet to save humanity,” said Xbox chief Phil Spencer. The trailer description on Youtube confirms what we heard from Microsoft last year: the next Halo is coming to Windows 10 as well as the Xbox. Watch the trailer above.

So when André Bengtsson, artist and one third of the design team at Swedish studio Redbeet Interactive, tells me about the origins of their game Raft it’s refreshingly different. Raft is a survival game set on the ocean, where you start with four squares of wood beneath your feet and a hook-rope in your hand. You throw the hook to grab junk as it floats by, which you craft tools and expand the raft with. “It was just you hooking stuff and expanding the raft,” Bengtsson says. As for why theirs ha

A leaked picture of a keychain, of all things, led Ubisoft to confirm that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the next installment in the long-running series, and that it’ll take place in ancient Greece. Ahead of a full reveal at E3, another leak has revealed a bunch of screenshots of the game, some of which show that it will, as rumoured, have dialogue options for the first time in the series. The screens, a selection of which are below, also show off ship combat, part of the skill tree and the world

A short distance away from the sound and fury of E3, literally across the road from the LA Convention Center, there’s an alternative show called Indie Heaven. Publisher Good Shepherd is taking the opportunity to showcase some smaller games, and one of them is turn-based tactics game Phantom Doctrine. While BioWare says we can play Anthem alone, it turns out we can’t do so offline. “You need to be online to play,” said BioWare’s Mark Darrah on Twitter. You need to be online to play https://t.co/KsojxJ0rvJJune 9, 2018That’s a disappointment for anyone whose internet connection isn’t up to the task, as the person Darrah was responding to indicated. It also reinforces that, while solo play is possible, it is not what BioWare is going for with this one (which is Destiny… it’s going for Destiny,

If you’re wondering when we’re getting a new Dragon Age game and whether Mass Effect will ever return to PC, BioWare’s Casey Hudson has weighed in on that as part of a Game Informer cover feature on Anthem. “I would say a majority of the people at BioWare are working on Anthem, but we do have people who are figuring out what a next Dragon Age would look like,” Hudson says. When asked about Mass Effect, Hudson said: “It’s my baby. I helped start Mass Effect from the beginning. Myself and Tom expl
