pcgamer wrote a new post, This Final Fantasy XV mod lets you play as the Power Rangers, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Final Fantasy XV boasts one of the most memorable casts in not only a Final Fantasy game, but any video game. Ignis, Gladiolus, Prompto and Noctis are all lovable, but are they as lovable as the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers? But what I’m getting at is this: you can now play Final Fantasy XV as the bloody Power Rangers, thanks to this incredible package of mods by modder Jazneo. In addition to all four Power Rangers (you know, the blue one, the red one, the black one and the green one), each of

pcgamer wrote a new post, These are the year’s top selling Steam games so far, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Steam has revealed its best selling games of 2018 so far, and as you’d probably expect there are few surprises. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any surprises, though: among the top 12 selling titles is Jurassic World: Evolution, rubbing shoulders with the likes of PUBG, Rocket League, Dota 2 and Rainbow Six Siege. Like last year, the list isn’t ordered by number, but instead into four categories: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Here’s the first three categories, for your convenience. But if yo

pcgamer wrote a new post, Fractured Lands is like Mad Max Battle Royale complete with vehicular carnage, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
With a little wax on, wax off, Fractured Lands could certainly take its place among the growing smorgasbord of battle royale options. Many Battle Royale games include vehicles. In Fractured Lands, the difference is that everyone spawn in one, together at the center of the map. Beyond that, it’s a pretty familiar battle royale experience. With a little wax on, wax off, it could certainly take its place among the growing smorgasbord of battle royale options with the interesting dynamics added by i

In a new “Story Insight” trailer on Game Informer, Bungie developers talked about the impact his loss will have on the game, and the more “personal” style of narrative that will result. “It feels like it’s just done for shock value at the start, but it’s not,” Bungie head of community Eric Osborne says in the video. “We’ve always like Uldren as a bad guy, because he’s so shifty. Even in D1, you don’t know if he’s actually a good guy or a bad guy,” Forsaken art director Shiek Wang says. “It’s got

pcgamer wrote a new post, French gambling regulator determines that loot boxes are not legally gambling, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
The ongoing saga of loot boxes took an interesting turn last week when France’s gambling regulatory body ARJEL weighed in with its 2017-18 activity report. But it also determined that from a legal perspective, loot boxes generally do not qualify as a form of gambling. What it did not do, however, is rule that loot boxes fall within the legal definition of gambling. Schwiddessen described the position as “non-committal and unspecific,” and ARJEL said it will continue to research loot boxes and mi

It’s July 4, the American Independence Day, and thus the perfect day to release the Fallout 76-ized cover of Country Roads, the John Denver hit that was used to introduce Bethesda’s latest post-nuclear adventure to the world. The track is available now on iTunes for $1, and all proceeds raised will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. The track is credited on iTunes to Copilot Music and Sound, a company founded in 2008 to create musical content for advertising, games, and other media. Fallout 76

pcgamer wrote a new post, Why I love being in a clan, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
In 2001 I played the demo of Operation Flashpoint for the first time, courtesy of PC Gamer’s cover disc. That was how our clan really began, and a year or so later we’d rented our own public server and begun using TeamSpeak 2. In the years that followed, we played dozens of clan matches and enjoyed countless sweaty-palm moments. It’s been particularly noticeable for all of us since Battlefield 1, which didn’t offer clan tags or Platoon systems until months after release. In spite of this, we’ve

In its vanilla state, Fallout 4’s irradiated Boston Commonwealth looks lovely. We may need to update our list of the best Fallout 4 mods. pcgamer wrote a new post, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy review, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
And one of the most notorious of these creatures was Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot, a denim-clad marsupial who spun onto the original PlayStation in 1996, becoming the stupid, grinning face of the new CD-powered console. The N. Sane Trilogy is a remastered collection of the first three Crash Bandicoot games. It’s authentic, though, and that’s exactly what some people will want from a Crash Bandicoot remaster. The addition of auto-save is one of the few concessions it makes to modern game design,

pcgamer wrote a new post, What we want from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
It’s an understatement to say that we don’t know much about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. I hope the LucasArts licence doesn’t stop them from bringing that kind of lethality to the Star Wars universe. We don’t need blood squibs or jibbing, but I want this to be a brutal take on the Star Wars universe. Jedi: Fallen Order is set shortly after Episode III, and it’s about a surviving Padawan who presumably has to avoid being mowed down by clone armies. But Jedi Academy let you pick your lightsaber c

That’s how Fortnite’s limited-time Playgrounds mode works: you’re given 60 minutes to create, play and train as you wish. Working on his lonesome (Playgrounds supports up to four players per server), Sonny Evans raised the following hilltop village overlooking Tilted Towers. Sticking with Evans, the following castle looks out on Loot Lake and is comprised of multiple towers and rooms. After some teething issues, Fortnite’s Playgrounds limited-time mode relaunched yesterday. I’ll keep my eyes pee

When the Shenmue re-releases were announced for PC earlier this year, Sega tentatively promised “modernized features” without naming specifics. Now, the publisher has revealed more on its new settings, its reworked control scheme, and why both games cannot run above 30Hz on PC. The FAQ explains saves can be carried over from Shenmue to Shenmue 2 on PC, and that saving anywhere in-game is possible. Check out the Shenmue FAQ as it appears on the Sega website, and know that the originals’ in-game a

These are positions we’ll stand behind—hills we’ll die on even if we probably shouldn’t, much like every sniper in a Battlefield game. We’ve all got opinions we know are scarcely shared, so after you’re done balking at our firmly-held beliefs, let us know in the comments: What’s your most unpopular gaming opinion? See, I’m actually quite into Assassin’s Creed lore, which is an unpopular opinion in and of itself. Phil Savage: Gaming is better nowIt’s sad that this even counts as an unpopular opin
