pcgamer wrote a new post, LCS demands removal of Echo Fox investor who used racist slur, on the site GoGame.com 7 years, 1 month ago
A report surfaced last month that Echo Fox founder Rick Fox had threatened to leave the company over an investor’s use of racist language in an email sent to former Echo Fox CEO Jace Hall. Today Riot announced that the preliminary investigation has concluded, and it clearly did not like what it found. The LCS has concluded its preliminary investigation into the alleged comments made by a member of the Echo Fox ownership group. We have directed Echo Fox to take appropriate corrective action withi

The biggest addition in this update are conveyor lifts, which will reduce the need for complicated, janky conveyor belt “spaghetti” in your factories. Conveyor Lifts – vertically transfer items from one conveyor belt to another. No more overly complicated, inefficient and messy conveyor belt spirals. Ingame Map – enjoy revealing the game map via exploration and the Radar Tower. “We’re still figuring out our update schedule and how often we can and should update the game.

BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, will honor Epic Games with a Special Award recognizing its growth from its founding in 1991 to “world-renowned industry leader and innovator.” “We are delighted to present this year’s Special Award to Epic Games. “Epic is at the forefront of the evolution of the global games industry and the impact of their innovation is undeniable.” Unlike regular BAFTA award categories, Special Awards are given irregularly, to recognize broad contribution

Time to prepare for the evisceration of your Steam Wallet again. The Steam Summer Sale 2019’s dates have slipped out early, as per usual, so you can start sorting out your Steam Wishlist ahead of time. The deals will kick off on June 25 and stick around for a fortnight, ending on July 9. I will be avoiding temptation and abstaining, as I’m already well past my breaking point for new games this year. The good stuff has been relentless and the mental gymnastics required to quickly switch from adve

Underlord, as he appears in Dota 2. Valve has applied for a trademark for Dota Underlords; it’s definitely a game, but there’s not much more information available beyond that. The application was filed earlier this month and categorises Dota Underlords under computer game software, electronic game software and video game software. In March, Valve’s Jeep Barnett told players that the team would be putting their heads down and fixing the game instead of releasing updates, so maybe Underlords is Ar

World of Warcraft’s Horde has a bit of a management problem. Sylvanas, the Banshee Queen and current Warchief, has been a bit out of sorts, committing atrocities and generally worrying everyone. That doesn’t leave much room for the war against the Alliance, though, but I’ve got a feeling that Thrall’s going to make a deal with the other side. I’d love to see Thrall become Warchief again, but we’ve already been there before. The next update is shaping up to be absolutely massive and, as well as b

CrossCode’s already a huge game—and pretty great—but there’s always room for pooches. Inside, you’ll be able to arrange fights against regular enemies, dungeon enemies and bosses. Each cup contains multiple rounds, either taken on individually or in a rush mode where you do the cup in one go. Medals you win can be exchanged for coins that can in turn be spent on new gear, decorative stuff and pets. There’s also a demo on Steam if you’re in the market for a new RPG.

But, reader, forget Marvel’s common sense attitude towards tiresome trends: what if there was a Marvel battle royale game? Anyway, rather than bog you down any further in the details of comics I half-remember from four years ago, Secret Wars strikes me as the perfect setting for a battle royale game. This variety of themes would be more than enough to keep a battle royale map fresh—Marvel has decades of What If? If you fall outside the circle during a game of Marvel’s hypothetical battle royale,

We are of course talking about Cooler Master’s Hyper 212 Evo. The Hyper 212 Evo is on sale for $29.49 at Newegg. Factor in the $10 mail-in-rebate that is also available, and this capable air cooler drops below twenty bucks, making it a steal. We’ve long considered this the king of budget air coolers. It’s also fairly quiet, and not much bigger than a stock cooler.

Update: A Ubisoft rep issued the following statement in response to our inquiry:”Julian was obviously joking as Julian likes to do. Gerighty changed his Twitter background and icon to Splinter Cell shortly after the tweet that got the ball rolling, but has since changed it back to The Division 2. Lending even more weight to this bizarrely out-of-nowhere “Uh, he just tweeted it out” moment, Ubisoft Montreal creative director Dan Hay retweeted it. About a half-hour after Gerighty posted his initia

How bad are these MDS attacks? The researches go so far as to suggest it may be necessary to disable Hyper-Threading on Intel CPUs to help thwart these exploits, though Intel disagrees with that recommendation. To put that in perspective, architectural improvements from each generation of Intel CPUs typically only improve performance by about 5 percent, which means a loss of potentially two generations worth of architectural enhancements. It’s worth noting that these MDS attacks do not affect AM

Microsoft today released a critical update to fix a major security vulnerability in older versions of Windows. The flaw is related to Windows Remote Desktop Services, formerly known as Terminal Services, and affects Windows 7 and older versions of the operating system, such as Windows Server 2008 and Windows XP. Microsoft says the Remote Desktop Protocol itself is not vulnerable, but instead the issue is pre-authentication and requires no user interaction. Users of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008

But this latest mod has a bit more staying power: it replaces the player-character with 2B from Nier Automata. If you’re a fan of Nier you won’t need any more convincing, but in case you’re yet to play Yoko Taro’s bizarre triumph, 2B is a battle android with deadpan attitude. Sadly, that attitude is unlikely to shine through since this mod doesn’t come with voice audio. But you can at least use a seperate mod to install a female voice track. You’ll need to make sure you have the DS3 and Bloodbor

It looks like the Mortal Kombat movie reboot has escaped purgatory and is set to be filmed and produced in Australia. Yes, a politician held a press conference about Mortal Kombat to promote it rather than decry it. Just like Shang Tsung created lots of job opportunities when he started the first Mortal Kombat tournament. @warnerbros will bring their epic action film, Mortal Kombat, to life here in SA. The first Mortal Kombat movie came out in 1995 and was much, much better than Street Fighter,

The Division 2’s first ever eight-player raid will arrive on May 16. That’s not much time for gearing up, so hopefully you’ve been diligently preparing for Operation Dark Hours already. If you’ve already shot your way through DC, reached tier 5 and tackled Tidal Basin, you should be ready to take on Operation Dark Hours, though expect a challenge. The Black Tusks have taken over the airport and are flying in all they need to take over, including high-tech gear that you won’t have faced before. H

World of Warcraft Classic will be sending players back in time this summer, returning to the days before flying mounts, dungeon queues and the earth-shattering Cataclysm. From launch, all WoW subscribers will have access to Classic, so you might as well take it for a spin. For more, check out my World of Warcraft Classic preview. Classic’s arrival is part of Blizzard’s celebration of 15 years of WoW (and 25 years of Warcraft). Most of that hefty price is down to the fancy Ragnaros statue and pro
