Once again, we start off in the past as Episode 4 opens with Javy and David taking some batting practice before the zombie apocalypse. After regrouping in an apartment building, it feels like Telltale gets a little desperate to up the ante on the drama factor. The end of Episode 4: Thicker Than Water manages to raise the stakes through both physical drama and character ch

In 2011, one brave live-streamer named Leomon began playing Pokemon Ruby with a shiny Magikarp. That’s right: Pokemon Master… with just a shiny Magikarp. After the stream, Leomon stated on Twitter that it didn’t matter if you had a strong or weak Pokemon. Really skilled trainers that try their best will prevail with the Pokemon they like. His victory with a simple fish inspired many other Twitter users to send congratulations and fan art from those following his epic 5-year quest.

Last week we saw two teasers and two posters release for Blade Runner 2049. The trailer suggests that there’s much more to the story of either Ryan Gosling or Harrison Ford’s character – like a story twist. Here’s the official description of the film:Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. Even though Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 released in 2015 and Call of Duty: WWII is coming this November, Treyarch wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the game just yet. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 would be getting a fifth DLC titled Zombies Chronicles which will compile eight classic Zombies maps from World at War, the original Black Ops, and Black Ops 2 and fully remaster them for Black Ops 3. Xbox One owners are making out well this weekend on Arkane’s reboot/re-imagining of Prey, but PS4 owners can grab two really great games for a combined $70 (plus tax) in NieR: Automata and Skyrim: Special Edition on Amazon.com right now. The Xbox One version of Skyrim: Special Edition is only available from third-party retailers, while NieR: Automata is only available on PS4 and PC. The PC version of NieR: Automata is also only available at the regular retail price. Perhaps the most interesting

GameStop is known for giving away Pokemon codes, as they helped giveaway several hard-to-find legendaries last year in celebration of Pokemon’s 20th anniversary. This time, the giveaway is a bit more subdued, but no less rare, as starting on May 15th, trainers can head over to Gamestop to grab a download code for an exclusive Lycanroc Midnight Form. This is important because it takes away the all-important Protect move, which can stop any move on a dime. Here’s the Lycanroc’s moveset:Stone Edge

Another big game release approaches in the form of Tekken 7, a new iteration in the long-running fighting game series. Here’s the video:What’s interesting here is that they’ve determined that Tekken 7 is running just a smidge under the 1080p standard that most PS4 games achieve, coming in at about 900p. Naturally, you can probably expect the PC version to hit and surpass that mark relatively painlessly, but it does raise questions about the standard Xbox One version. Of course, the dip in resolu

Hellpoint is an alien-themed Souls-like game that is being developed by Cradle Games, a team of developers with a breadth of AAA experience who have elected to go the indie route. They are coming to the end of Hellpoint’s Kickstarter, and find themselves just under $4,000 short of their goal of $36,631. One of the game’s standout features is its split-screen local co-op, which the developers chalk up to the fact that they come from a generation where local co-op reigned supreme, and frankly (IMO

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was revealed last month at Star Wars Celebration Orlando which coincided with an in-depth panel that talked about all things related to its campaign and multiplayer. One thing it did not discuss, however, was the possibility of VR. Yesterday, PlayStation sent out a newsletter with a little thumbnail that seems to answer that question which was shared on NeoGAF. Here’s a screenshot of the post:DICE’s first Battlefront had an X-Wing mission that was used with PSVR, though

Bethesda and Arkane’s “re-imagining” of Prey finally hit store shelves yesterday, but if for some reason you have not already picked it up, Xbox One owners can apparently grab the game at a slightly cheaper rate than PS4 owners on Walmart.com. As of this writing, the Xbox One version is $49.88 on Walmart.com, and you can either get free two-day shipping or pick up in-store. Sadly the PS4 version doesn’t seem to be getting the same discount, and there doesn’t appear to be a reason why. But just i

Another weekend, another look at the games that Steam will use to take your money. Like GOG.com, Steam is also discounting its entire library of Star Wars games in celebration of May the 4th.
