eurogamer wrote a new post, Persona 5 DLC schedule – Costume images, Picaro Sets, Japanese voices and when all free DLC will release, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 9 months ago
For a single-player role-playing game, there’s plenty of Persona 5 DLC on offer during its opening year. You can dress characters in Costumes from other games (with their soundtracks to match), as well as purchase additional Personas also from previous entries in Picaro Sets. There’s also a whole set of free DLC to download, including Japanese voices, as well as more throughout the year – including Christmas costumes, for those still playing in December. And in a 100+ hour adventure like this, w

eurogamer wrote a new post, Watch: Here’s everything we know about Star Wars Battlefront 2, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 9 months ago
When it comes to the finer details of Star Wars Battlefront 2, developer EA is so secretive that even Bor Gullet, the mind-reading octopus from Rogue One, would have trouble getting any more info out of the studio. A little Star Wars in-joke to get you warmed up, there. Anyway, during the Star Wars Battlefront 2 panel at this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, we did against all odds learn quite a bit about what this sequel has to offer. You can check that out in the following video, which

eurogamer wrote a new post, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap review, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 9 months ago
Thankfully, The Dragon’s Trap has a lot of charm and is still fun to play today. Lizard-Man, the first form Wonder Boy or Wonder Girl transforms into, has a fire breathing attack with longer range than a sword, can duck and is immune to lava. Given Lizardcube’s reverent devotion to the original’s gameplay, the standout element of The Dragon’s Trap lies with its audiovisual overhaul. Lead designer Omar Cornut (Pixeljunk Shooter, Tearaway) has previously worked on Master System emulation and incor

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition comes out this week as a standalone game on Steam as well as Windows 10 and Xbox One. Previously, the new and improved version of Ensemble’s 2009 real-time strategy game was locked behind the Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition bundle. Halo Wars: Definitive Edition goes standalone on Thursday, 20th April. Unfortunately, the Steam version does not let players play with those who are using the Windows Store version. This, you imagine, is probably the final nail in the coffi

eurogamer wrote a new post, Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s first 100 per cent speedrun still takes 49 hours, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 9 months ago
Nintendo’s latest flagship adventure is so saturated with content that speedrunning a 100 per cent run still took world record holder Xalikah a whopping 49 hours, nine minutes and 41 seconds. Comparatively, Ocarina of Time’s world record for attaining 100 per cent, by zfg, is a mere four hours, 15 minutes and three seconds. That’s partially because Breath of the Wild is absolutely huge, and partly because the requirement for getting 100 per cent is a lot more stringent. According to Redditor Kew

Upcoming isometric Reservoir Dogs riff, Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, is slated to arrive on Steam 18th May, publisher Lionsgate has announced. Developed by Barcelona’s Big Star Games, Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days is a non-canon look at the exploits of the titular black-suited men before their jewelry store score went south. This time out, you’ll get to play as all six of the colour-monicked gangsters as they go on a crime spree across 18 different heists. Bloody Days may not be totally in keeping

The first significant Torment: Tides of Numenera update addressing annoying performance issues has been rolled out on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On top of performance improvements we have been promised additional Torment game content. I found out more about the Toy, and other cut content, in my ‘Making Of’ Torment: Tides of Numenera article, and accompanying podcast, published last month. Eurogamer’s review Recommended Torment: Tides of Numenera as a “smart and commendably weird” homage doi

Namco will bring a selection of its 80s arcade game back catalogue to Nintendo Switch, in the form of a fresh compilation: Namco Museum. The collection contains titles you’ve heard of, such as Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga and Galaga ’88, and a bunch of other less well-known games as well. You can play and compare high scores via an online ranking system, and even turn your Switch vertically to replicate an arcade game experience. Namco Museum will launch sometime this summer. Here’s all the games in

eurogamer wrote a new post, Nintendo’s not making Hey! Pikmin, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 9 months ago
Prior to today, Hey! Pikmin was widely expected to be an internal Nintendo project, as Pikmin 1, 2 and 3 were. Pikmin was the “Pikmin 4” which Miyamoto confirmed to Eurogamer back in 2015. Miyamoto did not disclose which console Pikmin 4 would actually launch on, but he had at this point already talked of plans for another Wii U Pikmin project – one which would help sell that console. Pikmin, a game designed specifically for 3DS by a studio which Miyamoto does not oversee.

It takes a few minutes for me to fully register what’s happening as the meeting progresses, but he’s essentially building a Project Scorpio console right in front of me. Under the desk in front of me, Del Castillo has a stash of Scorpio components and he pulls out the processor itself. The SoC (system on chip) is the brains of the Scorpio console, but in isolation it’s little more than an ‘inanimate object’, as Del Castillo calls it. Aside from the cooling advantage, there’s a user convenience a

eurogamer wrote a new post, Learning to love Dwarf Fortress, gaming’s deepest simulation, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 9 months ago
Dwarf Fortress is ugly and hard and broken and unfair and I honestly think it might be one of the most important games ever made. What is Dwarf Fortress? Dwarf Fortress is essentially a game about making a house for some dwarfs. He could make a lot of money as a cult leader if Dwarf Fortress ever dries up. Everything in Dwarf Fortress is ASCII based – made up of fonts rather than sprites or models – and the world map is no exception.

The Pokémon Go Easter Eggstravaganza event starts the day before Good Friday and lasts an entire week, introducing some tweaks to Egg hatching and double XP gains for the duration. While it’s currently unknown which rarer creatures (if any) will be easier to hatch, increased Candy drops from all eggs as well as a Lucky Egg sale means it’s the perfect time to get walking, hatching – and spending. When does the Pokémon Go Easter Eggstravaganza event end? The Easter Eggstravaganza event will arrive
