In late September, Fortnite developer Epic Games settled a lawsuit against a minor accused of cheating (and teaching people to cheat) in Fortnite. Last week, Epic filed court documents urging the judge to appoint the boy’s mother as a legal guardian for the case, a step necessary in moving the process along. “Defendant has ignored the appropriate orders of this Court,” Epic alleged in the documents, as spotted by Torrent Freak. (Cheating isn’t necessarily the problem in this case, though Epic su

Fortnite’s Twitter account, Instagram account, and seemingly every social media channel has either been wiped or been blacked out. It was a risky move, especially considering how huge Swift is on social media, but the gambit worked. There’s no explanation on Fortnite’s social media channels, or Fortnite’s blog. The only thing we have is what Epic Games warned us of before the event started:I’m guessing Epic Games won’t be saying anything for a while. Instead, Fortnite’s social media channels hav

You can’t really do anything if you log into Fortnite right now — there’s just a black hole. For a brief period of time, however, that black hole had a series of numbers appear above the event horizon: 11, 146, 15, and 62. Epic Games has also hidden a little Easter egg that may help bored players pass the time until the new season comes into effect. As of this writing, there’s no telling when the battle royale portion of Fortnite will come back. Instead, Epic Games has issued a total blackout, b
