pcgamer wrote a new post, Play demos of 13 upcoming games on Steam before the Game Awards, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 1 month ago
The Game Awards is trying something a little different this year in the form of The Game Festival, a “digital consumer event” that will give gamers access to more than a dozen demos for upcoming games on Steam for 48 hours. (Game Awards founder Geoff Keighley said 12, but I double-checked the list in the announcement and it’s definitely 13. More details: https://t.co/k4n3guyJxcDecember 11, 2019″Six years ago I bet everything I had to create The Game Awards as a way to celebrate our passion for g

pcgamer wrote a new post, Destiny 2: Season of Dawn exotics and Eververse items—see the new stuff here, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 1 month ago
There’s nothing like the excitement of a new season in Destiny 2. It’s like waking up on Christmas day and getting to find out what toys Tess has locked behind a paywall right next to the dock to the left of the tree. As of December 10 we are in the second season of Destiny 2’s third year, the Season of Dawn, and with it comes a load of new Eververse items to buy, exotic weapons to play with, and a few new pieces of exotic armour to try on before you inevitably go back to those nearly perished O

There’s a new reason to drive aimlessly around Los Santos: GTA 5 (both Story Mode and Online) is getting a new radio station hosted by rapper Danny Brown. It’s called iFruit Radio (bet you can’t guess what they’re riffing on there), and it’s set to roll out on December 12, alongside the Diamond Casino Heist. The station will feature a bunch of on-air guests including Skepta, and the 27-track playlist features the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Yung Thug, Travis Scott and Megan Thee Stallion. Danny Brow

pcgamer wrote a new post, Rocket League’s Blueprints are too damn expensive, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 1 month ago
Loot boxes are reviled by many, but their removal from Rocket League hasn’t been met with open arms. As a brief primer, Rocket League’s old system dropped crates after completed games. The new system drops Blueprints instead of crates, and crafting a Blueprint costs Credits. If you’re lucky enough to get a Blueprint for a Black Market item you want, it costs 2,200 Credits to build. Let us turn them into Credits, the way unwanted Hearthstone cards can be turned into Dust to buy other cards.

pcgamer wrote a new post, Nvidia’s latest GPU driver is primed for MechWarrior 5 and Detroit: Become Human, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 1 month ago
Before you do, however, Nvidia has a new driver release that could help things along. You also have to be willing to pounce on a new driver release before it’s had time to aerate in the wild, to see if there are any problems. That said, this is considered a “Game Ready” driver release for MechWarrior 5. Jarred is busy testing the new driver and benchmarking MechWarrior 5, and should have some numbers to share soon. In addition to MechWarrior 5, the 441.66 release is also optimized for Detroit: B

pcgamer wrote a new post, I ticked every option on Apple’s new Mac Pro and the price topped $53,000, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 1 month ago
Apple has begun taking orders for its new Mac Pro workstation starting at $5,999, and as we noted in June, the baseline configuration only comes with 256GB of solid state storage. I did one better, though—I ticked every available upgrade option and watched the price tag balloon to $53,247.98. That includes nearly $500 in software (Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X), and if omitting those, the price drops to a more manageable $52,748. So, what exactly do you get when going full-on balla configuring

According to a report from the Financial Times, the Chinese government has ordered a total ban on all foreign PC hardware and operating systems in government computers. That includes graphics cards and processors from companies like Nvidia, AMD, and Intel, and operating systems from Microsoft and Apple, among many other US and European-based PC hardware and software manufactures. Supposedly, the plan is to replace 30 percent of PCs and software by the end of 2020, 80 percent in 2021, and then 10

The Overwatch Winter Wonderland event has returned for another round of festively fatal fun headlined by everyone’s favorite Chinese climatologist, Mei. This year’s event will feature Snowball Deathmatch, a variation on an old mode, that will pit eight Meis against each other in a race to 15 kills. The Winter Wonderland also brings back Mei’s Snowball Offensive, a 6v6 all-Mei snowball fight, and Yeti Hunter, an asymmetric mode that pits five Meis against one raging Yeti Winston, as well as skins

pcgamer wrote a new post, Axiom Verge 2 is coming next year, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 1 month ago
Axiom Verge 2 is coming next year, it was announced during today’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase. It’s expected to release in “fall 2020” (that’s spring in Australia) but we only have confirmation that it’s coming to Nintendo Switch. That said, it’d be hugely surprising if the game remained an exclusive there. Aside from the trailer and launch window, there’s not much else in the way of firm information: the game page on Nintendo promises “completely new characters, abilities, and gameplay”, and

A day ago, I would’ve put down money on a bet that we never heard a peep about Babylon’s Fall again. As far as I’m aware, that was the last we saw or heard a single thing about Babylon’s Fall for 547 days. Square surprise-dropped a new Babylon’s Fall trailer for State of Play, a Japanese PlayStation event. There’s also a heavy paintbrush style at work to give Babylon’s Fall more of a storybook look. Does that mean Babylon’s Fall will have four different playable characters, each with their own s

First announced as a PS4 exclusive, the shooter is newly confirmed for PC and is expected to release on April 20. The four human players experience the game as a first-person shooter, while the fifth, the Predator, plays from a third-person perspective in a fashion reminiscent of Evolve. Descent of Dragons, the latest expansion to Blizzard’s ever-popular CCG Hearthstone, is now live. What’s more interesting, I think, is the potential impact of Battlegrounds on Hearthstone itself. The rollout of Descent of Dragons will also see the launch of a redesigned in-game shop, with a free Tyrande Whisperwind Priest Hero skin and card back for everyone who stops by to check it out. Speaking of free stuff, players who log into Hearthstone within 90 days of the launch of Descent of Dragons (

Tens of millions of people play League of Legends every single day, and almost none of them will be able to afford even a simple t-shirt from the game’s new fashion range, created by Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton’s League of Legends range includes 13 ‘looks’ made up of 47 items that can be bought separately. Aside from the t-shirts with character art, none of the items are noticeably conne
