  • Beyond Good & Evil 2’s appearance at E3 2017 came as a surprise. Revealed on stage at the Ubisoft conference, the cinematic teaser didn’t give too much away—but did mark a blatant shift in tone from its 2003 forerunner. Ubisoft has now shown off more of BG&E 2 during its dedicated E3 2018 showing. It’s a prequel, mind, but get ready for the return of Jade:And here’s Ubisoft with a breakdown of the above:This story is developing.

  • Again, sorry-not-sorry for making Jump Force my own personal anime torture device. Will Jump Force have the strategic depth that will attract a hardcore Evo contingent? “The weekly Shonen Jump manga features a conglomerate of all those characters,” he says. The jury is out on whether or not Jump Force will reveal itself to be more than a trifling bit of fan service, but it’s a hell of a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shonen Jump. Jump Force is out in 2019.

  • One of the big questions about Fallout 76 is whether or not it will support mods. Previous Fallout games have enjoyed extensive mod support, but as an online game with an inextricable multiplayer focus, the Fallout 76 situation wasn’t so clear. “We love mods, and so we are 100 percent committed to doing that in 76 as well,” Howard said. That is trickier when you get into an online world, but we’re definitely committed to that. Fallout 76 is scheduled for release is set for release on November 14

  • In an interview with Gameslice’s Geoff Keighley on Monday, Todd Howard offered a little more detail on the status of Bethesda’s next two major projects, Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6. “I would say Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production, and Starfield is in production. Elder Scrolls 6, not in that way yet.” Keighley mentioned that several years ago, Howard said the technology didn’t yet exist for the next Elder Scrolls he wanted to make. • As if the company was hit with an epiphany, Lenovo acknowledges that even dedicated gaming PCs are sometimes used for other things, even *gasp* work, and so it redesigned its laptops and desktops with a different aesthetic in mind. Lenovo introduced six new Legion gaming PCs in all, including two laptops (Y730 and Y530), two desktop towers (T730 and T530), and two cube desktops (C730 and C530). Several of them feature RGB lighting, so Lenovo isn’t completely leaving behind gaming tropes. These a

AssemblyIf you’re looking for a quick, easy card game that’s small enough to carry around but packed with plenty of substance, Assembly is probably for you. It’s cooperative, unpredictable gameplay makes it a great pick for fans of Pandemic. • With no fanfare, or even the slightest indication at all that it was going to happen, Boss Key Studio’s arena FPS LawBreakers has gone free-to-play Steam. The change is unexpected in part because studio founder Cliff Bleszinski closed developer Boss Key Productions last month. Nexon hasn’t commented on the change as of yet but it wouldn’t be unreasonable for it to try rebuilding LawBreakers as a free-to-play title. It’s a complete game, after all, and let’s not forget it was originally intended

That’s according to creative directors Raoul Barbet and Michel Koch, who spoke during Square Enix’s E3 presentation. There was also concern that without net neutrality rules in place, broadband providers could create tiered packages similar to cable TV. This isn’t something that ISPs did before net neutrality rules took effect, and proponents of the repeal argue that the open market will work itself without the rules in place. • Final Fantasy 14 is getting some new dragons to fight this summer thanks to Monster Hunter: World, which, as Square Enix announced today during its E3 2018 presentation, will lend at least one of its monsters to the MMO in an upcoming crossover. We know the crossover is due sometime this summer, but Square Enix didn’t say much else. Rathalos, a big red dragon and the longstanding face of Monster Hunter, was the headlining act of the announcement. Which is neat, and also makes me wonder if Rathia

  • The Quiet Man was announced at Square Enix’s E3 show today, introduced with might be the worst trailer of E3 so far. It begins with some live action, in which a man, who is quiet, walks into an alley. The man is who is quiet stays quiet and sets down the alleged chow on a dumpster before pointing to his ear. The trailer closes with a shot of the alleged chow being placed on an unconscious alley-man’s head. We’ll find out more about The Quiet Man this August.

  • Revealed at Square Enix’s E3 conference today, Babylon’s Fall is the next venture from Platinum Games. In the teasiest of trailers, we’re shown a running timeline that mentions the discovery of the Oversoul, the Age of Dawn, the birth of a goddess, a World War, the formation of a New World Academy and, blimey, a day of reckoning. • This isn’t the first we’ve seen of Just Cause 4, but it’s our best look yet. Some highlights: The grapple has more tethers, and you can attach booster rockets and air lifters to vehicles or other objects to relocate them. New vehicles: Bulldozers, car transporters, wrecking balls, jetskis and micro jets. Massive tornadoes, sandstorms, blizzards, and lightning storms can cause environmental destruction and seem systemic. These look rad.

  • A PC version of Dragon Quest 11 was confirmed back in March, and today Square Enix rolled out a new trailer telling “The Legend of the Luminary,” who has brushed with death a thousand times, yet survives to save the world. The trailer starts off on an ominous, very serious note, but takes a quick turn into more exuberant territory once the wheels start turning, with horns blaring and colors flashing in a bright fantasy realm filled with exotic, some might say odd, characters. “The captivating ta

  • Fallout 76 has been revealed, and as expected, it’s an online survival game combined with traditional elements of the 3D Fallout titles. Your progress stays with you, which is what Fallout players will want to hear. So far we’ve had games like Rust, which are fun, but don’t necessarily have the resources that will be going into Fallout 76.
