pcgamer wrote a new post, Colorful is working on an incredibly wide 49-inch all-in-one PC with discrete graphics, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Called the Onebot S49, Colorful’s newest AIO boasts a super-wide 49-inch display, just like those stretched out monitors from Samsung and Philips of the same size. The company said it “wanted to set the bar high for future AIOs” and considers the Onebot S49 “a true masterpiece.” Since this is a concept design, the specs could very well change when and if Colorful turns the Onebot S49 into a shipping product. Other details include onboard 802.11ac Wi-Fi, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDM

pcgamer wrote a new post, Cyberpunk 2077 will have diverse relationship options, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Geralt, the Witcher, is a notorious sex machine, and there will be opportunities for Cyberpunk 2077’s lead character V to romp around, too. But where Geralt came to videogames as a pre-existing character with established traits and preferences, V will be entirely customizable. Because of that, the romance options in the new game will offer “more diversity” than what was available in The Witcher series, CD Projekt told Game Informer. “With Geralt, you had a character whose sexuality was very well

pcgamer wrote a new post, The 5 best solo board games, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Board games are a fantastic avenue for socialization. Each prisoner has a unique character die to represent their strengths and weaknesses. Card by card you’ll work your way through the Dark Castle. I love this one to play over coffee in the morning, or to kill time between bigger games. Escape the Dark Castle is currently on Kickstarter seeking funds to reprint the original and add some expansions.

pcgamer wrote a new post, Cryptocurrency mining profits have plummeted since last year, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
We don’t really know precisely what impact cryptocurrency mining had on the shortage of graphics cards over the past year, versus memory makers shifting a large chunk of production from DRAM ICs to NAND flash memory chips. That remains to be seen, but at least at this very moment, profits from mining are way down from a year ago, or even a few months ago. In my daily travels on the web, I stumbled upon an article by Nathan Kirsch at Legit Reviews that compares the profits of mining Ethereum toda

pcgamer wrote a new post, PUBG map selection scaled back following Sanhok testing, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds introduced map selection in April, which allowed players to choose between its Erangel and Miramar arenas for the first time. Following its fourth round of testing, the developer says it will scale back map selection options when Sanhok lands later this month. PUBG Corp vows to make Sanhok as accessible as possible—Sanhok proves that solo PUBG plays best on a small map, after all—but says Miramar and Erangel will again return to the same queue. “Choosing both queues

pcgamer wrote a new post, Here’s 18 minutes of murderous Metro Exodus gameplay footage, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Which means I can blame missing the following nearly 18 minutes of Metro Exodus footage that surfaced the other day on being tired and overwhelmed. It also means this intro paragraph doubles up as an apology and an excuse to cut to the chase. Voila, nearly 18 minutes of Metro Exodus gameplay:The slaughter and dimly-lit exploration featured there looks lovely, but I’m most interested in the rundown of Exodus’ guns, weapons, crafting and upgrades. Otherwise, let me point you towards Tom’s words on

pcgamer wrote a new post, Resident Evil 2 remake will include Tofu, Hunk and that big bastard alligator, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
The Resident Evil 2 remake may have lost some its B-movie charm (see above), but it’ll still feature some of its most fantastical characters. As reported by Polygon, Tofu, Hunk, and that massive mutant alligator that, don’t lie, scared the total shite out of you on first encounter will return come January 25, 2019. “I really like the alligator character and want to have it in there,” Resident Evil 2 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi tells Polygon. “I think it’s part of Resident Evil 2’s history, and

pcgamer wrote a new post, The Long Dark adds new region, overhauls cooking system, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Perhaps I’ll escape to The Long Dark’s new Hushed River Valley region, where I can drown in its icy lakes instead. Part of the first-person survival sim’s new Vigilant Flame survival mode update, Hushed River Valley is described as a “multi-leveled” region that connects to Mountain Town. As also detailed there, the Vigilant Flame update overhauls TLD’s cooking system. Elsewhere, Vigilant Flame introduces “buffer memories”—new narrative collectibles said to be the “last documents stored in a comp

pcgamer wrote a new post, Final Fantasy 7 remake skips E3, director vows it’s ‘not just in early concept stages’, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Despite making the right noises earlier this year, Final Fantasy 7’s much-anticipated remake was one of the no-show games of E3 2018. Nomura, who has worked with Square for almost 30 years, says his directorial efforts are split equally between KH3 and the Final Fantasy 7 remake. “So right now, it’s like I’ve been putting in 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts, 100 percent into Final Fantasy 7, 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts… just going back and forth,” Nomura tells The Verge. “It’s just like [wo

The plot twist within that update proved Warframe was about much more just than space ninjas grinding for loot. More than a year later, the game is finally getting its third cinematic quest: The Sacrifice. If the first cinematic quest was about the Warframes’ operators, then The Sacrifice will dig “very explicitly” into the frames themselves. “There’s this sort of mystique around ‘What is an Umbra Warframe?,'” Ford said. So, with its tighter focus on story, The Sacrifice should have plenty of ti

The Underhollow pits eight teams of three players each against one other in a great quest for Roshefort, the rarest of all cheese located in the caverns beneath Roshan’s lair. pcgamer wrote a new post, Metro Exodus’ day-night cycle changes NPC behavior, dynamic weather can mask footsteps, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
We got a bit of hands-on time with Metro Exodus during E3 week. There’s also dynamic weather and a day-night cycle. Players can manipulate this day-night cycle: resting lets players fast-forward the clock, and that could prove useful at times because NPC behavior might change at different times of day. There’s a lot of elements that the player can either just encounter dynamically or try to manipulate through these tools like resting.” Metro Exodus’ release date is set for February 22, 2019.

pcgamer wrote a new post, The Division is only $10 on the Ubisoft Store right now, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 4 months ago
Ubisoft is celebrating E3 2018 with a sale, and there are some pretty good bargains to be had. The jewel in the crown is The Division, which can be had for a mere $10 (or $15, if you’re in Australia). Meanwhile, if you want the Gold Edition bundling all of the game’s paid DLC, that’ll set you back $18. Ubisoft demoed a hefty chunk of The Division 2 at E3 this week. Set in Washington DC, it’ll be a more open and more dangerous open world.

Some Reddit posters aren’t too pleased with that decision, or with a prosthetic arm featured in one of the game’s trailers, and have taken to the subreddit to criticize Battlefield 5’s historical accuracy, defend its historical accuracy, or argue that historical accuracy doesn’t matter. It’s now gotten so bad that the subreddit’s moderators have banned posts arguing about historical accuracy altogether. “New rule: No more bitching about historical accuracy, it’s a game, not a history book. Six weeks ago, he released the final free content booster pack for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+. And a few weeks before that, McMillen said his delayed, cancelled and now revived game Mewgenics is back on track. Apparently McMillen’s still got free time, though, because judging from a recent string of tweets, he’s got a new multiplayer game in the works. Firstly, it’s not connected to The Legend of Bum-bo, The Binding of Isaac or Super Meat Boy. McMillen also held a dedicated Q&A, and assum

So you’ve got your own kind of, ecosystem, in the sense that there are different things happening in those buildings than on a street level. But one of the things that’s been great to work on this game, from my personal perspective, is that class system. Say with Witcher, you’re really immersed in that game, but you’re kind of with Geralt. It will feel different to a traditional FPS because it is an RPG, so there’s going to be numbers. With these important characters you’re going to meet along t

The Dying Light 2 announcement at Microsoft’s E3 press event was made significantly cooler by the surprising news that cold fusion-powered RPG writing machine Chris Avellone is working on it. But Avellone isn’t the only talent working on the game. “We also got some additional help in the form of the former The Witcher 3 writing team,” Techland told VG247. “Those guys were responsible for some of the best quests from that game including the Bloody Baron quest line. Many BioWare fans were bummed when the studio confirmed there are no romance options in Anthem, its upcoming shared-world looter shooter. As lead producer Mike Gamble told Game Informer, “we’re moving away from that for Anthem.” However, BioWare general manager Casey Hudson told VentureBeat that romance isn’t necessarily dead. Hudson likened the situation to the evolution of the character Garrus from the original Mass Effect. EA and BioWare have billed Anthem as an always-online “live service” w
