  • New players are confronted with “a mountain” of stuff to unlock, he said, and player feedback indicates that the volume of cosmetics is “overwhelming.” As a result, Ubisoft has decided to leave all of the items as they were. Your feedback has been driving the production efforts including the various features and improvements we have made,” Ubisoft community developer Eric Pope wrote on Reddit. • In a round of Prismata players compete in turn-based duels familiar to players of most any competitive card game. Taking turns, they attempt to wipe out the enemy’s units like an RTS—there’s no player health like in Magic or Hearthstone. These units are produced from a pool of cards, different each game, and each card is always available to both players. Prismata reminds me of Ascension or Star Realms , deckbuilding games that force adaptive strategies from a limited pool of cards while emphasiz

  • Shiloni isn’t game savvy, so imagine his surprise to find a massive hamburger with bulging eyes with no one else around for miles. Durr Burger’s mascot went missing from Fortnite shortly after a rocket launch went wrong and cracked the sky over the island. The crack has been spreading since the launch, with several signs disappearing through small rifts all over the map in the lead up to Fortnite Season 5. Some players suspect that Durr Burger’s new home in the desert indicates we’ll be getting

Most notably, following in the footsteps of CS:GO, plans are in the works to require two-factor authentication for all players wanting to play Ranked. Reports of an increase in hackers and cheaters started boiling up in the community near the launch of Operation Para Bellum last month. Boosting refers to when players hire hackers to squad u

  • This morning I popped into Genesis, a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon). It’s a free to play, multiplayer fantasy text adventure you can play in your browser. After killing the rabbit, I discovered it had a lucky rabbit’s foot on its corpse (and presumably, three unlucky rabbit’s feet). Thus began my repeated attempts to acquire this lucky rabbit foot from this rabbit corpse. (And by the way, as I later learned after reading a walkthrough, the phrase I was looking for was ‘get all from corpse’.)
Oh yeah, that's why I don't play MUDs anymore

The vote before the European Parliament proved a tougher nut to crack, however, and as reported by The Verge it was rejected by a vote of 318-278. “I regret that a majority of MEPs did not support the position which I and the Legal Affairs Committee have been advocating. • The MasterBox Lite is a cunning trickster, a perceptive balance between feature and price. There is one flaw in this master plan, however, and it stems from the material used in the chassis as a whole. Cooler Master’s MasterBox Lite 5 RGB is a phenomenally priced budget box for any builder looking to construct a modern machine in a case that plays like a flagship. You can buy the monitor from Newegg.

  • Last year, Warframe partnered with Top Cow Comics to produce a crossover comic book series. We spoke to Top Cow president Matt Hawkins at the time about the publisher’s relationship with Digital Extremes, and what we might expect from the five-comic run. The story they let us tell, that we worked with Digital Extremes on, really brought out the best of that bombastic, crazy, futuristic imagery. Santiago was criticized by net neutrality advocates, some of which accused him of selling out to ISPs, citing his contributions from AT&T. “After Donald Trump’s FCC obliterated net neutrality, we stepped in to protect California residents and businesses and to ensure an open internet,” Wiener said in a statement. “For months, we have worked with a

  • Think of a game that hasn’t been linked to the battle royale genre in the last year. Sea of Thieves has no plans to venture into last-person-standing territory as yet—but Rare would do so on its own terms, should it ever be considered. We put a Sea of Thieves spin on a familiar mechanic with new and interesting takes. We see the battle royale thing, but I think there will be opportunities to do that kind of thing differently.
