pcgamer wrote a new post, Zombie Army 4: Dead War DLC roadmap promises many, many more Nazi zombies, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
Zombie Army 4: Dead War got its first story DLC today, the first in a three episode story called Terror Lab. This particular chapter, which is available now if you’ve got the Season Pass or bought the Deluxe Edition, is called Hell Cult. Hell Cult, Terror Lab… that’s the Zombie Army I know and love. I’d hazard a guess that the “mystery solving” mentioned will involve shooting Nazi zombies. Check out a trailer for Terror Lab below:

pcgamer wrote a new post, AMD’s Ryzen 5 3600 is at its lowest price ever right now, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
A little over a month ago, I highlighted a deal for a Ryzen 5 3600 processor that had fallen in price to $175, which at the time was 12 percent below its list price. If you missed out and wanted a mulligan on that deal, good news—it’s even cheaper with today’s discount. The 3600 is one of the best CPUs for gaming if you’re putting together a mid-range build. Also of note is that the 3600 is based on AMD’s latest generation Zen 2 CPU architecture. The 3600 comes with AMD’s Wraith Stealth cooler,

pcgamer wrote a new post, Oh wow, Final Fantasy 15’s Stadia-exclusive minigames are hilariously awful, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
It’s not a good look when your Google Stadia-exclusive DLC feels like the kind of copyright infringing knock-off games you’d find on the Google Play Store, but that’s exactly what Final Fantasy 15’s “Crazy Challenges” look like. This set of four minigames was first released several months ago as a bonus for those who bought FF15 on Stadia. Each one feels like it a sub par mod you might find in Final Fantasy 15’s Steam Workshop, not official DLC built by Square Enix itself. Still, it’s weird to s

pcgamer wrote a new post, Nvidia scraps GTC 2020 keynote and will issue news releases instead, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
This year’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC), an annual event hosted by Nvidia, will not have a keynote. Instead, Nvidia now plans to issue a string of news announcements on Tuesday, March 24, with info that had been scheduled to be shared in the keynote. The change in plan comes a week after Nvidia announced it was shifting GTC to a digital-only event due to the coronavirus outbreak. The company believes that continuing public health uncertainties would challenge its ability to produce and deliv

pcgamer wrote a new post, Nvidia releases Game Ready driver for Call of Duty: Warzone, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
After months of leaks and rumors, Call of Duty: Warzone is here, and it’s free to play for everyone. Coinciding with its launch, Nvidia is pushing out a new driver optimized for the battle royale map. Nvidia passed along a list of extended system requirements, as outlined by Activision, covering the spectrum from entry level to 4K. If the patches are not installed, then the driver installation will not continue. You can nab the 442.59 driver from within GeForce Experience, or download it manuall

pcgamer wrote a new post, Do what you’re told (or else) in freaky, free horror game Sentient, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
But it’s a question that Sentient posits as it traps you inside a tiny room. Not to be confused with the exceedingly ambitious ’90s adventure game, this Sentient is a mysterious ‘n’ cruel first-person horror-ish game that’s a little bit PT, a little bit SCP Foundation. It’s you and a voice on a speaker system, which tells you to do things, baffling things, inside your miserable little cell. And, to respond to binary yes/no questions, you fling a tennis ball to the left or right of the room. For

pcgamer wrote a new post, This Death Stranding cosplay actually looks very useful in 2020, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
(Image credit: @ 白 影 发展 部)Death Stranding lead Sam ‘Porter’ Bridges plods around a devastated post-disaster America with a baby strapped to his chest. One Chinese Douyin user (the Chinese equivalent to TikTok) figured as much. He’s apparently strapped a newborn baby into a capsule, complete with air filtration, in order to take that newborn to hospital. “I was going to take my child to the hospital today,” a Google translation of the video description reads, “so I invented this.” Check it out:It

pcgamer wrote a new post, Logitech’s stellar G502 Hero SE mouse is on sale for $28 today, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
The G502 Hero SE is down to the lowest price we’ve ever seen it sell for with this deal. We have mostly high praise for Logitech’s G502 Hero. You can have both with the G502 Hero, and for only $27.99 right now. The Lightspeed Wireless we wrote about last week is still on sale, albeit it’s up a couple bucks, and now so is the more affordable G502 Hero SE. Wes reviewed the non-SE model in late 2018 and praised the rodent for its flawless performance, smooth gliding, and having the best scroll whee

pcgamer wrote a new post, Call of Duty: Warzone is launching tomorrow, free for everyone, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
Activision has finally revealed Call of Duty: Warzone, the free-to-play battle royale. As we learned from leaks and can now confirm, it’s a standalone battle royale rather than a mode attached to Modern Warfare. 150 players will have to fight each other and outrun a deadly cloud of gas in the battle royale brawls, but Warzone’s also launching with a second mode. More details on both modes will appear tomorrow, along with a more in depth look at the map. Modern Warfare players will get a head sta

pcgamer wrote a new post, AMD wants to hear from Radeon owners who are having black screen issues, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
I can only imagine how frustrated some Radeon graphics card owners must be as they have persistent black screen issues, which seem to mostly affect the Radeon RX 5700 XT and 5700. It asks for the graphics card model and part number, driver version, and a few other bits of information. It also contains a whole bunch of check boxes for specific games and benchmarks that are triggering a black screen. AMD’s most recent driver update (Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.2.2) lists several black screen fixes i

pcgamer wrote a new post, Acer is launching a pair of 240Hz IPS gaming monitors, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
It looks like Acer is getting ready to release a pair of Predator gaming monitors that mate a fast 240Hz refresh rate to an IPS screen. The combination of this much speed and IPS color quality is rare in the monitor space, with only a small handful of IPS models capable of refreshing the screen at 240Hz. As for using an IPS screen, these types of panels typically offer better image quality compared to cheaper TN screens. Wider color gamuts and more flexible viewing angles are both staples of IPS

pcgamer wrote a new post, The Mortal Kombat animated movie looks just as gory as the game, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge’s red band trailer doesn’t hold back. The animated feature is due out on April 12, and unlike the ’90s cartoon, nothing has been toned down. Scorpion’s Revenge follows the story of Mortal Kombat’s favourite demonic ninja, and if it’s anything like his arc in the games, it’s not going to be very heartwarming. If you’ve played the last few Mortal Kombats, you’ll probably recognise a lot of voice actors. Another Mortal Kombat movie is coming next year, this

pcgamer wrote a new post, Shenmue 3 goes gambling on a cruise ship in its next DLC, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
Shenmue 3’s third piece of DLC will be appearing soon, on March 17, letting Ryo take a wee break on a flashy cruise ship. The Big Merry Cruise DLC will also apparently feature “exclusive challenges,” some of which will net you new outfits to drape over Ryo. That should come in handy if you end up losing your shirt during your gambling binge. Now that three pieces of DLC have been unveiled, I think it’s safe to say that Shenmue 3’s season pass is far from essential. If you’ve already got the seas

pcgamer wrote a new post, Blizzard reveals how good your Battlegrounds MMR really is, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
(Image credit: Blizzard)Other than the Sisyphean drive to endlessly improve your MMR, there really isn’t much in the way of endgame to Hearthstone’s Battlegrounds mode. For instance, Ayala noted that among players with greater than 5K MMR, Jaraxxus has only the 28th highest average finishing placement. However, for players under 5k, the same hero performs much better, finishing with the 5th highest average placement. According to Ayala, Tirion had been the most powerful hero in all regions and a

(Image credit: Hyohnoo)And I thought spam filters worked based on algorithms. Genuine messages get dragged to the ‘Send’ icon, while spam goes in the trash where it belongs. It’s a bit like Papers, Please, but light-hearted in tone, and with actual aliens instead of illegal aliens. You’re given additional things to check for—malicious emails, messages from alien scammers, the usual—and then the game starts repeating itself. For more great free experiences, check out our roundup of the best free

pcgamer wrote a new post, Watch a ridiculous Spawn gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
In a decade of edgy comics for edgy teens it was harder to get edgier than Spawn. Now he’s back, in Mortal Kombat form. As the trailer above shows his Mortal Kombat 11 incarnation is voiced by the excellent Keith David, who also played him in the TV show. Spawn’s cloak, which seems quite nicely animated, can be used as a shield as well as being full of a ridiculous amount of weaponry. Spawn is coming to Mortal Kombat 11 in Early Access on March 17 alongside the matinee skin pack and Hellspawn Ja

pcgamer wrote a new post, Minecraft Festival is the latest event postponed due to coronavirus, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
In recent years Minecon Earth has been an online event, rather than the meatspace gathering Minecon used to be. This year a return to the real world called Minecraft Festival was planned, with tickets about to go on sale on Friday. It’s now the latest gaming event to be postponed due to the coronavirus. Though Minecraft Festival was scheduled for September, which seems like potentially a long enough way off for the virus to die down, its effects were hindering the event’s organization. Minecraft

Remember Dante’s Inferno? No, not the 14th century Italian poem. Dante’s Inferno is the latest game to be declared fully playable and glitch-free in the open-source PS3 emulator RPCS3. “Issues with Physics made it impossible to finish some stages normally” before now, and there were some problems with cutscene audio stuttering and generally stability, but that’s all solved and it’s looking lovely in 4K. PS: If you came here looking for more about the 14th century Italian poem I recommend the Joh

pcgamer wrote a new post, Post-apocalyptic tactics mixed with MMO Dreadlands comes to Early Access this week, on the site GoGame.com 4 years, 9 months ago
Turn-based tactics game Dreadlands is coming this week, on March 10th. It’s a pretty standard tactics game, with turn-based shooting battles and a strategic metagame to frame them, but it has a neat twist: you can fight other people. It’ll also have a neat looking card-based tactical powers system and a morale system that plays out like an in-battle tug of war. The launch will have two background campaigns, one for each game, and a main story campaign that dives into the core lore of the Dreadla
