  • Strange Brigade, the supernatural co-op shooter, is getting a bunch of new maps, missions and an additional character across the coming months. Some of it will be part of the game’s season pass, but the maps for the score attack and horde modes will be free for everyone. For score attack missions, you’ll be able to play on three additional maps, while horde mode gets one extra. Six more score attack maps are also on their way, launching across the next couple of months, along with three more hor

  • Alan Wake, a game that was structured like and inspired by TV shows, is set to become a TV show itself. Alan Wake writer Sam Lake is involved, too, serving as executive producer. While the game followed Alan Wake throughout, with other characters serving as obstacles or allies, the show will develop those characters and the universe itself beyond what we’ve already seen. Unfortunately, the news of a TV adaptation was not accompanied by any news of a potential sequel to the game. “At the moment,

  • The remake of Pathologic, renamed to Pathologic 2 last year to avoid confusion with the HD remaster of the original game, looks appropriately weird and disquieting in its new gameplay teaser. I still can’t quite believe this bizarre, janky game is getting the sequel/remake treatment, though I couldn’t be happier. The survival formula increasingly feels like it’s set in stone, making Pathologic’s take on the genre, which didn’t really exist when the original game came out, is impressively novel.

  • Carl Johnson performing Dark Souls’ most famous gesture is a joy to behold. Creator Drop0ff says CJ’s likeness in CJ Carl Johnson From GTA SA DSR replaces the Hard Leather Set—meaning Warrior class Dark Souls: Remastered players can control the GTA San Andreas protagonist in Lordran from the outset. And with that in mind, seasoned Souls streamer Zullie The Witch reckons the Dark Souls mod scene has “the potential to get a whole lot stranger”. Dark Souls mods have the potential to get a whole lot

  • Assassin’s Creed has always had an unusual relationship with history. With Odyssey, Ubisoft is taking a different approach. “I remember working on Syndicate and you almost have a day-by-day account of what everybody did,” Marc-Alexis Côté, senior producer on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey told VG24/7. We shouldn’t hide behind the excuse that that’s the way history happened—you’re making decisions every second you’re playing a game.”Those decisions are more apparent this time because Odyssey really lea

  • The UK is a grim, miserable place, but Forza Horizon 4 will fix that by flinging it into space in a Halo-themed event. You’ll also be able to drive the stalwart Warthog, breaking all the speed limits as you hurtle through the countryside. Halo Infinite, and maybe Halo 5, is coming to PC, but why wait? You’ll get more than just Master Chief’s favourite vehicle. Forza Horizon 4 launches on October 2.

As with most of Destiny 2’s requirements, you’ll need to have completed Forsaken’s campaign before you can travel to the City. Each character will add an epilogue to your actions concluding Forsaken’s story, with Petra eventually handing you a broken Awoken talisman that’ll u

  • I can’t think of a single asymmetrical horror game that really nails the sensation of being chased by a seemingly omnipotent horror movie villain. Last Year pulls from ‘80s slasher movies for its setting, pitting five teenage archetypes against one player as the bad guy. The killer can despawn and respawn as one of three awful murder men as long as they’re not visible. It also sets Last Year apart from Dead By Daylight: you’re more horror movie Dungeon Master than you are the Jason-like killer w

  • With this being the fourth Forza Horizon game, a lot of the things you add to it are iterative. The first thing to say, really high level, is man we learned a lot from shipping on PC with Forza Horizon 3. I think there’s a collaborate roadmap to come out of that process. So sure, we could do Halloween, but actually I think we’re going to think a bit more macro than that. Think about the types of things players will be wanting to do in their second ‘year’ of Horizon life.

  • In August, shortly after the release of World of Warcraft’s seventh expansion, Battle For Azeroth, The Lazy Goldmaker posted one of his meticulous spreadsheets to the WoW economy subreddit . It contains a set of expertly appraised auction house margins for all of Azeroth’s many tradeskills—blacksmithed weapons, stat-buffing cooking recipes, excavated gems. • I’ve never watched or played a game of baseball, so I’m just going to assume it’s a lot like the future ball game presented in Lethal League and its upcoming sequel, Lethal League Blaze. Chill out, baseball players. ‘Lethal League is the Jet Set Radio of violent ball games’ is an unusual thing to have to write, but here we are. If baseball and Lethal League are both alien concepts, here’s the gist: In the future, anti-gravity ball games are illegal, sending players underground so they can keep b

  • Via VK Scum groupScum’s map is a pretty big one—144 square kilometers—and it can take a while to haul yourself from one end to the other in the Early Access survival game. But if you teleport yourself into the sky using the admin console, you can see a map that is actually much bigger. Type “#teleport [Character Name] 0 0 1000000” (no brackets around your actual character name) and you’ll appear floating high in the air. What’s interesting about the report is that it pinpoints the reason for the upcoming decline to a CPU shortage, and specifically Intel processors. According to DRAMeXchange, Intel initially planned to mass produce Whisky Lake CPUs in the third quarter, as it anticipated a busy sales season for laptops. “The precise reason behind the shortage of Intel CPUs is currently unclear because the problem simultaneously affects the

  • Essentially, the FCC anticipated that states might try to enact their own net neutrality rules. Following a recent court ruling in Minnesota, however, FCC chairman Ajit Pai reiterated that states must bow to federal law on this issue. There’s much more to this specific case, though as it applies to net neutrality and the fight to restore it, the bottom line is a court has now reaffirmed the FCC’s stance. The larger implication is that states may have a tough time convincing the court system that
