pcgamer wrote a new post, Make and eat food from Fallout, minus the radiation poisoning, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 1 month ago
Most of the food I ate in Fallout games was scrounged from bombed out grocery stores or picked up off the ground, so it’s not a series I necessarily associate with culinary delight. But following in the footsteps of the World of Warcraft cookbook, Bethesda’s RPG series now has its own book of recipes, the Vault Dweller’s Official Cookbook, out on October 23. Personally, I think I’ll pass on the Mole Rat Wonder Meat Dip, but Mississippi Quantum Pie sounds mighty nice. Author Victoria Rosenthal ma

pcgamer wrote a new post, World of Warcraft guild Method clears mythic Uldir and claims world-first G’huun kill, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 1 month ago
Last night, EU guild Method’s hard work and dedication paid off as they secured the world-first kill of mythic G’huun, the final boss in Battle for Azeroth’s first raid, Uldir. Method decided to add to the pressure, this time, by live-streaming their entire mythic progress—something that’s never been done before. The gamble paid off with the final, world’s first kill coming on the eighth day of raiding. Luckily for Method, Limit were unable to secure the kill, despite the early advantage. Method

pcgamer wrote a new post, Resident Evil 2 Remake shows off some old friends in this story trailer, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 1 month ago
Capcom has released a story trailer for the Resident Evil 2 Remake, due out early next year. Perhaps she’s saving it for a special occasion, like a dinner party or the opening of a casino. The video also shows Claire Redfield’s first encounter with Sherry Birkin, and we get a glimpse of Leon’s first encounter with the not-so-healthy-looking William Birkin. Once again, it underlines the differences in tone between the remake and the ’90s original—you never know how silly Resident Evil will end up

Nvidia is pushing out an updated driver package that adds support for its newly minted GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and GeForce RTX 2080 graphic cards. The driver release, version 411.63, is an incremental bump over the 411.51 driver release that Nvidia provided to us and other reviewers for testing. If you pre-ordered one of the new cards, or plan to pick one up, this is the GPU driver you’ll need to take full advantage of your new hardware. Among other things, it adds support for Nvidia’s RTX technolog

pcgamer wrote a new post, Valve will moderate game forums for reported content on Steam, starting next week, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 1 month ago
From September 25, Valve plans on moderating the many forums that belong to Steam’s games. Currently, Valve reviews reported content on Steam such as screenshots, artwork, user profiles, community groups, and user reviews, but it’s down to the developers to keep an eye on their own forums and respond accordingly. It seems that an increasing number of developers have been contacting Valve, requesting help with their communities, specifically “handling posts that are reported by other players.” Wi

AMD makes three other performance claims, all pertaining to the Radeon RX Vega 64. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, AMD says performance gains check in at up to 4 percent at 2560×1440. There are a few known issues, one of which is that Radeon RX Vega cards could see elevated memory clocks when the system is at idle. AMD also warns that configurations with 16 or more CPU cores might experience a random reboot when upgrading from a driver release older than 18.8.1. Go here to download the new driver

Keeping these factors in mind and staying consistent throughout the game helps make the explosions feel grounded in the world.” It’s also important to note that, while most explosions effects involve some kind of animation, they are often highly dynamic, a blend of simulation and script. Originally, explosions were composed of sprite animations, but today’s explosions combine animation with particle simulation, resulting in explosions that respond dynamically to other in-game elements, such as w

Ancestors Legacy has received a free update, adding a singleplayer Slav campaign which includes five new missions. Developed by Destructive Creations, Ancestors Legacy is an RTS set in a medieval world, where you can choose to control one of the four playable nations—Viking, Anglo-Saxon, German, and Slav. The trailer above does its best to offset the harshness of war with a little humour, and gives us a glimpse at what we can expect from full-scale battles. The price of the game has also been dr

Devil May Cry 5’s new trailer, above, is quite the treat if you feel like you’ve missed the traditional silly tone of the series since DMC4. It also reveals the game’s third playable character, V, a guy who apparently speaks in ‘poetic verse’, which sounds a little unbearable. You get your first look at V at the very end of the trailer. If that sounds exciting to you, there’s a trailer below:Nico gets inspired by @MegaMan… Nero gets equipped with Mega Buster! I look forward to playing more of

I’ve been playing The Bard’s Tale 4: Barrows Deep for a few days now and so far it’s been great (our review is coming), but not without some rough edges. Today, inXile explained how it plans to smooth them down, beginning with the first patch that it hopes to have out on Friday. An FOV slider is coming, and there will also be an option to delete saved games, which isn’t currently available. “We are working around the clock to solve these issues as soon as possible,” inXile wrote. Following the 2008 reboot, the last Alone in the Dark game to release was 2015’s Alone in the Dark: Illumination. As for Act of War, the 2005 original was a decent real-time strategy game by a

pcgamer wrote a new post, Gigabyte’s first NVMe SSDs take aim at value-conscious builders, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 1 month ago
Gigabyte isn’t a major player in the solid state drive space, though it’s certainly trending in that direction. The advantage of NVMe over SATA is that it has the potential to deliver much faster speeds. Gigabyte isn’t shooting for the stars, though, and instead is content to dial things back for price tags that builders might find more palatable compared to performance-oriented NVMe drives. Gigabyte says the 128GB can deliver up to 1,100MB/s of sequential read performance and up to 500MB/s of s

The new GeForce RTX cards are here, but as many suspected from the lack of benchmarks at Nvidia’s announcement event, they aren’t significantly faster than 10-series GPUs when running current games. As such, the deeply-discounted GTX 1080 and 1070 cards are looking more attractive than ever. Now you can get a GTX 1070 from EVGA for just $349.99, which is about $20-40 less than what most full-size 1070 cards are going for. This specific card has a base clock of 1506MHz, with a boost of 1683MHz. Y
