pcgamer wrote a new post, How do these three upcoming turn-based 40K games compare?, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 1 month ago
One benefit of the current glut of licensed Games Workshop games is that some of them are trying to recreate that tabletop experience. Right now there are several turn-based 40K games in varying stages of production and I’ve had a chance to play three of them. The Space Hulk board game has been adapted before, beginning with an atmospheric and brutally difficult 1993 version by EA. Space Hulk: Tactics has an immediate advantage over the other videogame versions, because it has a Genestealer camp

pcgamer wrote a new post, Amanita Design’s next game is a sidescrolling platformer called Creaks, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 1 month ago
Czech indie studio Amanita Design is best known for brilliantly bizarre point-and-clickers like Samorost, Botanicula, and most recently, the laugh-out-loud funny Chuchel. It’s called Creaks, and it’s a sidescrolling platformer about meeting your neighbors. Creaks is being developed by a new team at Amanita, headed by artist and designer Radim Jurda, with music by Scottish composer Joe Acheson, also known as Hidden Orchestra. Even so, I think it’s fair to say that it looks and sounds very much li

We still don’t know how they’ll fare with real-time ray tracing and DLSS-enabled games at large, so there’s a leap of faith involved. However, if you’re ready to make the jump, we’ve rounded up several listings where you can buy one right now. If you’re looking for something more powerful, t

Onimusha is coming to PC in early 2019. Onimusha was never my cup of tea, admittedly, but I’m sure there are plenty of people out there excited about a $20 HD PC release. That said, I do quite fancy the claustrophobic Ganon-meets-Yoshim

When I decided to switch to a standing desk, I wasn’t curious about the (“disputed,” according to Wikipedia) health benefits. If I can help it, I won’t play PC games in a chair at home again. It’s infused my gaming space with a greater feeling of ownership, something that I think PC gaming naturally invites. If you want a standing desk, you should build a standing desk. I can’t emphasize this more: if you’re running a standing desk, you need a proper mat under your feet.

Right back at the start of its development, Wargaming was adamant about one feature that would never make it to its naval action game, World of Warships – submarines. “It was not in our plans,” says World of Warships’ prodicer, Artur Plociennik, “because we never had an idea about how to do it properly. For the upcoming Halloween season of the game, submarines are just what punters are going to get. Bringing submarines into the full game is no mean feat, so, for now, that’s exactly what Wargamin

Here’s what surprised us the most in our time with Fallout 76. That’s Fallout to me, and that’s how Fallout 76 felt. Austin: I play Fallout games to explore and get lost, so I don’t have much interest in the PvP in Fallout 76. “As in the other Fallout games a lot of it is inventory management,” said development director Chris Mayer. Fallout 76 uses the same snap-on building system, but it applies it in more interesting and compelling ways that feed into the cycle of looting and shooting.

I think we can all agree* that the town museum-cum-library is the worst part of Stardew Valley to interact with. There’s a mod that fixes these problems: The very pragmatically named Archaeology House Content Management Helper . It fixes my clunky interface problems, and a bit more besides:Allows item rearrangement when you’ve got nothing to donate. Lost books can be sent directly to the library rather than carried. If this sounds like a mod for you, go check it out on Nexus Mods .
