pcgamer wrote a new post, PUBG teases Silent Hill-style nurses and Pennywise-like clowns for Halloween, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Alongside the not-so-subtle line “Beware… Halloween approaches”, the game’s official Twitter feed teased the following nine-second clip. Who knows exactly what’s in store for PUBG come Hallows’ Eve, but it doesn’t seem pretty. I understand PUBG Mobile plans a one-off night mode for Erangel—which is something I’d love to see replicated in the main game. But then again, perhaps daylight is preferred when we’ve got evil clowns and deranged nurses knocking around. I guess we’ll learn more about PUBG

pcgamer wrote a new post, You can now 100 percent Shadow of the Tomb Raider following latest PC patch, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Interestingly, Shadow of the Tomb Raider launched with a different ending that was patched out on day one. That’s now been fixed universally, as have a number of other issues in the wake of its fourth PC patch. “While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone,” says developer Eidos Montreal in this Steam Community post. If your game does not start properly after downloading this update, please verify the integrity of your Steam game files.” Andy seemed to enjoy Shadow of the Tomb Ra

With a host of Halloween-themed songs (Monster Mash, Zombie Jamboree, Haunted Heart), movie trailers (The Mummy, The Exorcist, Frankenstein), poem readings (Poe’s Raven, read by Vincent Price), and short story recitals, Spooky Scary Radio spans over 150 tracks, and has more on the way. Here’s a teaser:In-keeping with the modern Fallout series’ penchant for retro music, creator Nat

pcgamer wrote a new post, Football Manager is an RPG ‘with more NPCs than any other RPG on the planet’, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
I like Football Manager, and I’m forever telling friends/colleagues/anyone who’ll listen that, at its heart, it’s a complex strategy game. Granted, Miles Jacobson is inclined to agree, but the Sports Interactive head honcho also believes Football Manager shares core values with the RPG genre. “I think Football Manager absolutely is a strategy game, but it’s also an RPG,” Jacobson tells me. It’s an RPG that lets you completely create your own story, there’s not a linear path in Football Manager a

pcgamer wrote a new post, New World, Amazon’s MMO, shows off a big chunk of its map in gameplay footage, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
A few weeks ago, we covered how footage of Amazon’s MMO New World had leaked via Pornhub, since this is 2018 and that’s just what happens now. That video has been taken down due to a copyright claim, but in recent days, Amazon has been sharing a more official look at one area of its massive map. Windsward is a grassy area of New World that’s heavy on resources players can procure, and while nothing terribly thrilling happens in the footage, you get a little snapshot of how pretty its world looks

pcgamer wrote a new post, Hitman 2’s first Elusive Target is Sean Bean, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Following in the footsteps of actor pal Gary Busey, Hitman 2’s first Elusive Target is Sean Bean. Here’s a teaser:Like previous Elusive Targets, players get one chance to kill their prey within a limited time frame. Starring as one Mark Faba, you have just ten days to take out Bean. Last week, Samuel wrote about how Hitman 2’s multiplayer mode lets you compete for silent kills across two timelines. So we will have some things that will allude to the locations and show them very quickly.”

pcgamer wrote a new post, JulioNIB’s Predator mod for GTA 5 is faithful to the films, even the super gross stuff, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
The original Predator film is not only an awesome action movie but is also, well, pretty darn gross. The Predator stalks and kills several sweaty, muscly men and takes them as trophies: peeling off their skin, tearing our their spines and skulls, and dangling them from the trees. Now you can do all of the gross Predator things in GTA 5, because JulioNIB’s Predator script is available for download. It’s all pretty gross. Credit is also given to modder TheMadBreaker for contributing to the Predato

pcgamer wrote a new post, Disgaea 5 Complete will finally arrive on Steam next week, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Disgaea 5 Complete’s bumpy ride is almost over: After a long wait and a couple of delays, NIS America has committed itself to a PC release date of October 22. The promised pre-release demo is also available, as long as you don’t mind signing up for an Alienware account to get it. (That’s how you got the initial demo too, though, so nothing’s really changed on that front.) Demo saves will transfer to the full game when it’s out, but demo codes are only available in limited quantities for some rea

pcgamer wrote a new post, Agony Unrated has mysteriously appeared on Steam, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Shortly after, Madmind announced Agony Unrated, which would include the censored material in addition to deleted scenes and more. “Agony Unrated will be a separate title produced and published by Madmind Studio and without the involvement of any publishers,” the studio’s announcement in June read. Agony Unrated was set to include “additional erotic animations”, additional sounds, and “all the scenes that have been removed from the standard version of Agony”. Well it looks like Agony Unrated may

pcgamer wrote a new post, Inside the bizarre, passionate world of League of Legends roleplay, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
I met Joshua on one of the scattered League of Legends roleplay Discord channels, where he and a few friends dream up their own Runeterra war stories. League of Legend’s forum-based roleplay community is relatively tiny. And so, League of Legends roleplayers tend to use their own means and their own rulesets. Frankly, it also makes a good amount of sense when you consider the turbulent history of League lore. I hope that the few, proud League roleplayers continue to chart their own path.

pcgamer wrote a new post, The Discord game store is now open, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
The Discord game store that was opened to a bunch of Canadians back in August is now available to everyone, as the global beta of the store and Nitro subscription service got underway today. Now, we’re bringing games to people with our curated game store and Nitro game subscription service,” Discord co-founder and CEO Jason Citron said. One kind of odd thing about Nitro is that most of the games accessible through the service are not available for purchase through the Discord store. Discord also

pcgamer wrote a new post, Corsair’s new SSDs aim to deliver ultra-fast speeds at aggressive price points, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
In this case, the new MP510 drives are all NVMe. According to Corsair, they are capable of delivering up to 3,480MB/s of read performance and up to 3,000MB/s of write performance. Samsung’s drives are rated to deliver up to 3,500MB/s of read performance and up to 2,500MB/s of write performance. If the numbers hold true, Corsair’s MP510 drives should offer comparable read performance and faster writes. Where the added speed of an NVMe drive potentially comes in handy is when shuffling a lot of fi

pcgamer wrote a new post, Nvidia doubles down on DLSS performance claims for GeForce RTX, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Unfortunately, we’re still waiting on DLSS games to arrive to test the performance claims for ourselves. In the meantime, Nvidia is serving up benchmarks purporting to show how its GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 2080, and 2070 cards compare to the previous generation, with DLSS enabled on the new parts and TAA (temporal anti-aliasing) on the older ones. “In each and every series, the Turing GPU is twice the performance,” Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said. Assuming the data is accurate and applies directly to f

pcgamer wrote a new post, The Humble Store is having a Fallout sale, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Fallout 76 is now just a month away, and if you’re not sure what all the hubbub is about (or maybe you just missed some bits along the way), the Humble Store’s “Bethesda Bombs Drop Sale” is here to hook you up. The sale includes all things Fallout, from the original post-nuclear role playing game ($5) to Fallout 4 ($15), its DLCs, and various Workshop expansions. New Vegas is in there ($5, or $13 for the Ultimate Edition) and so is the unfairly maligned Fallout Tactics ($5), the tactical combat

pcgamer wrote a new post, This LG 27-inch IPS monitor with FreeSync is on sale for $148 today, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
It’s a 27-inch monitor with an IPS panel, and it’s on sale for $147.99 after coupon. We like that it’s built around an IPS panel instead of a TN screen, which typically means better color reproduction. It also has a 75Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time, or 1ms ‘virtual’ with motion blur reduction. Neither of those are eye-popping, though not bad for a 27-inch monitor that costs less than $150. pcgamer wrote a new post, Blizzard says it put in-game Hearthstone tournaments on hold because players had a different vision, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Blizzard said in September that plans for in-game tournament support in Hearthstone, announced earlier this year, had been put on hold “for the foreseeable future.” The real issue, Thompson said, is rooted in the simple fact that Blizzard dropped the dime too early. “We did something with tournament mode for the very first time that we’d never done before in the history of Hearthstone. “That allowed for a lot of time for the community to form, in its collective head, what they believed tournamen

Nothing actually happened after that, though, and the dream seemed dead—until last month, when a Winamp 5.8 beta leaked online. More recently—as in yesterday—Radionomy CEO Alexandre Saboundjian told TechCrunch that the Winamp remake is still in the works, and will finally be unveiled to the world in 2019. “There will be a completely new version next year, with the legacy of Winamp but a more complete listening experience,” he said. Capon will tell you about a woman in Rattay he’s fallen for, and asks for your help in wooing her—without her knowing. Keeping your love for a woman secret, Capon tells me, is all the rage in France, and he wants me to help him win her heart secretly. The first stage of which is recovering a family heirloom, a necklace, that he lost in a drunken dice game. Satisfied I no longer look like a peasant, I head to the bandit camp and announce myself to the guard. And while Kingdom Come can often be qu

pcgamer wrote a new post, It’s time someone made a good Doctor Who game again, on the site GoGame.com 8 years ago
Tom: Doctor Who is back on our TV screens with a new Time Lord and a new TARDIS. The follow-up to those adventure games was the disappointing platformer/puzzle game Eternity Clock, which you can’t get on Steam anymore. Tom: An adventure game seems like the best way to let the Doctor caper about on screen, but Doctor Who has the Sherlock problem: it’s hard to play as a character with a genius intellect who then has to solve puzzles. It could be a really exciting adventure game with an emphasis on
