Released early last year, Monster Prom was a multiplayer dating sim about hooking up with monsters. Now the same studio, Beautiful Glitch, has announced Monster Prom 2 via a Kickstarter campaign. But aside from the name, Monster Prom 2 is a bit of a departure from the original, because it’s actually three games in one. The list of stretch goals and gift incentives are of Tolstoyan proportion–you can check it all out on the Kickstarter page. You’ve still got 28 days to back the project, and there

Created by Youtuber PMAJellies, the game is effectively the same as specialized aim training games like Aim Hero, but inside of Overwatch itself. To access the aim trainer, use the code WRP63 in the Overwatch Workshop. Another great tool is “Darwin’s Ana Nade Tool” by DarwinStreams, which gives you stats and a visual indicator to practice throwing Ana’s healing grenade (Workshop code VQ077). Jared ‘ProJared’ Knabenbauer, a popular gaming YouTuber who before today had 1 million subscribers, has been accused of soliciting and receiving nude photos from underage fans. O’Ferrall then brought up Knabenbauer’s efforts to receive nude photos from fans, which she was aware of during their marriage. One former fan who goes by the name Chai says that he had sexually explicit conversations with Knabenbauer at the age of 16, and that they exchanged nude photos. The YouTube collective, which Pro

The action-RPG Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor—Martyr was pretty okay: Really good when it’s good, we said in our 2018 review, but not consistently good enough to be, you know, good. But that’s not stopping developer NeocoreGames from taking another run at it with the newly announced Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor—Prophecy. Prophecy is “a brand new action-RPG experience in the Warhammer 40,000 universe” so new players can jump straight in, but it’s also a standalone expansion to Martyr that continues

pcgamer wrote a new post, SSD ‘price war’ will make larger-capacity drives even more affordable, report says, on the site GoGame.com 7 years, 1 month ago
So says a new report from DRAMeXchange, a division of TrendForce, which says an oversupply of NAND flash memory chips is driving SSD suppliers into a “price war.” This change will cause 512GB SSDs to replace their 128GB counterparts and become market mainstream, second only to 256GB SSDs,” DRAMeXchange says. DRAMeXchange says this is the sixth consecutive quarter that the average price for client SSDs has fallen. The other trend DRAMeXchange predicts is that faster PCIe (NVMe) SSDs will reach pr

The third title update for The Division 2 was set to introduce new high level gear, increasing the Gear Score cap from 500 to 515. But in response to player feedback Ubisoft has ditched these plans, in order to avoid rendering current high level builds obsolete. While new, high level gear is a common feature in loot shooter title updates, players believed the new Gear Score, which was to roll out in the game’s May update, would have arrived too soon after launch. Ubisoft has listed a series of c

It’s currently not quite as polished as the Minecraft path tracing mod, but the results are nevertheless impressive. Path tracing and ray tracing use similar concepts with differences in the specific techniques. Our guide to ray tracing goes into more detail about what it is, how it works, and the various types of ray tracing that can be used in games. This ‘path tracing ReShade filter’ focuses on global illumination for now, but this is not actually path tracing (or ray tracing) in the traditio

Image source: Josh Hawley media kitUS Senator Jash Hawley announced today that he plans to introduce legislation that will ban “pay-to-win and loot box monetization practices” in videogames that are marketed to minors. “When a game is designed for kids, game developers shouldn’t be allowed to monetize addiction. And when kids play games designed for adults, they should be walled off from compulsive microtransactions. Game developers who knowingly exploit children should face legal consequences.”

In this turn-based strategy game you play as Iratus, a very emo necromancer who loves killing people, stealing their body parts, and creating monsters from them. Iratus, being a Dark Lord, doesn’t get his own hands dirty. Iratus: Lord of the Dead doesn’t have much in the way of new ideas. But thanks to some lavish artwork, a feeling of polish, and that monster creation system, I’m more intrigued to play the final game that I thought I would be. But if it’s a game with a gentle difficulty curve y

pcgamer wrote a new post, Rainbow Six Siege’s best moments don’t require a gun, on the site GoGame.com 7 years, 2 months ago
Really, Siege’s secret sauce is its granular destruction engine and the gadgets that distinguish its 46 characters. The game is packed with these moments, but my favorites make me feel like I’m playing two games at once. It’s a great tool for peeking down a hallway and quickly seeing if a roamer has been around. He’s great for calling out areas of interest to teammates, but you have to look out for Jackal’s hardest counter, Caveira. I get the most satisfaction out of finding a great drone hiding

pcgamer wrote a new post, Surprise secret quest brings ‘Outbreak Perfected’ to Destiny 2 today, on the site GoGame.com 7 years, 2 months ago
As is ever the way these days, the quest was initially discovered by dataminers who posted the results to this Reddit thread, noting a new “Masterwork objective complete” icon that appeared awfully similar to Outbreak Prime. For those not familiar with the console-only original, Outbreak Prime was a pulse rifle which was only discovered after a convoluted ARG connected to the Wrath of the Machine raid had been solved. As confirmed by the streamer Teawrex, who was one of the first to complete the

This time, it’s pulse rifle we’re after, and it takes as many mysterious steps as you’d imagine to obtain. To kick off the secret scavenger hunt leading to the Outbreak Perfected exotic weapon (which we’ll refrain from detailing here while it’s still a fresh mystery) head to Titan first. Once you’re in the hidden room, examine the Fallen device on the desk to pick up the Fallen Transponder. Be warned, it’s a level 690 mission, so you’ll need some skilled, high-level friends to make a dent in it.

Overwatch patch 1.35.1.1 is now live and that means we’re going to Havana, the capital city of Cuba and also the location of the game’s newest Escort map, which is now off the PTR and into full rotation. Escort a truck of rum barrels on the sun-drenched cobblestone roads, fighting off those who try to stop you. Battle your opponents through the alleys until you reach the Don Rumbotico rum distillery, a once little-known local treasure that has recently earned international acclaim. Finally, guid

pcgamer wrote a new post, 7 big questions we still have about Borderlands 3, on the site GoGame.com 7 years, 2 months ago
The bulk of Borderlands 2 quests consisted of following map markers and killing the bad guys there. The fast travel helps, but not all maps in the previous Borderlands games have fast travel locations. I’m not a huge Borderlands fan, but I did love Telltale’s spin-off, Tales from the Borderlands. There are a ton of sidequests in the Borderlands games, but I’d often end up with a bunch of ‘trivial’ quests below my level. If all goes to plan, the fastest supercomputer in the world will run on AMD hardware in a couple of years, including both AMD-built processors and graphics chips. Called “Frontier” and set to debut in 2021, the AMD-powered supercomputer promises to deliver a record-setting 1.5 exaflops of performance. The US Department of Energy has tapped AMD and Cray to build what would be considered the world’s first exascale supercomputer. At the very top, however, the two fastest machines—Summit and Sierra—

Though it didn’t quite make our list of the best MSI laptop for gaming in 2019, the MSI GL63 did come close. Better yet, the model in question comes with a free MSI gaming mouse to accompany your new, thin and relatively light gaming rig. Measuring just over an inch thick and weighing less than five pounds in total, the MSI GL63 8SE-054 boasts dimensions disproportional to its performance. As for its screen, competitive gamers will be pleased to know the marked down MSI GL63 bears a 15.6-inch TN
