pcgamer wrote a new post, Total War community manager ends final stream by calling YouTuber a ‘dickhead’, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 11 months ago
This week, Total War community manager Michael “Wheels” Whelan ended his final stream and last day at Creative Assembly with a message for a YouTuber. “Arch Warhammer is a dickhead,” he said. Arch Warhammer is a strategy YouTuber who also appears to go off on tangents about ‘SJWs’ ruining games and censorship in Total War. In his own video—which inaccurately portrays Whelan’s insult as an official Creative Assembly statement—Arch Warhammer claims that he “triggered” Creative Assembly by criticis

An influx of rare items is playing havoc with Team Fortress 2’s economy. Unusual quality items are appearing in a high number of crates and the marketplace is starting to be flooded with them, driving down their price. Today, a warning went up on the unofficial Team Fortress 2 subreddit telling players to stop trading items until the glitch is fixed. “As a result, demand for certain types of crates believed to be affected has soared, and supplies of Unusual quality items are flash flooding the m

Cat fanciers are always banging on about how great cats are, but nobody ever mentions how they’re a viable replacement for guns. This War of Mine, 11 bit Studios’ haunting survival management game, isn’t done with its grim warzone stories and distressing morality tests. A third piece of narrative-driven DLC is heading our way, promising another gloomy scenario and some big existential quandaries. 11 bit is keeping quiet about the details but says she’ll be wrestling with a big question about what’s more important—human life or the legacy we leave behind. “The latest This War of Mine story focuses on choices that can lead

The community interaction app Discord does a lot of things really well, but its built-in organizational tools can leave a little something to be desired, particularly for people who spend time on a lot of different servers. The server list just sort of tumbles willy-nilly down the left side of the interface, which is fine if you’ve only got two or three to deal with, but less than ideal if you’re hanging out on a couple dozen. Enter Server Folders, “one of Discord’s top user-requested features,”

It’s a visual editor for creating custom dungeons in the emulated version of Breath of the Wild on PC. Since then, custom dungeons for Breath of the Wild have been popping up nearly every week. Modder Kreny has uploaded a mod that recreates Skyward Sword’s Earth Temple in Breath of the Wild. Kreny’s Earth Temple of course feels the most like a true Zelda dungeon of any of the custom Breath of the Wild maps on GameBanana right now. I just want to see someone recreate one of my own favorite Zelda

(Image credit: Tom Sykes)In one way, the isometric viewpoint is a bit of a hindrance when it comes to two-dimensional block-pushing. But, I mean, would you just look at Xenopulse, with its crunchy isometric tileset, its wonderfully purple and blue and green alien world. If you’ve played a sokoban (block-pushing) game before now, you won’t be surprised when you’re required to plug water tiles, or to shove blocks onto, effectively, pressure plates. But, rarely for a sokoban game, Xenopulse’s isome

According studio boss and Castlevania vet Koji Igarashi, the team took extra steps to keep the fights fair. Whenever someone designed a boss, they had to prove there was a way to defeat it, no matter the weapon or difficulty, without being damaged. “The developer who creates the boss must beat their own boss without taking a hit and only using a dagger,” Igarashi told Gamasutra. “[H]ow the game felt was more important than challenging new ideas so it was important to keep the approach similar.”

Though the Radeon RX 5700 graphics card just released a few weeks ago, you can already find the Sapphire OEM version for sale at a discount—currently down to $330 at Newegg. That’s $20 off the $350 MSRP, and the Newegg offering also comes with three free months of Xbox Game Pass for PC. The RX 5700 is one of a pair of Navi cards AMD launched on July 7th—the other being the RX 5700 XT. Ultimately this meant the 5700 and 5700 XT outperformed the vanilla 2060 and 2060 Super respectively, but were a

pcgamer wrote a new post, Techland is still working on the first Dying Light, on the site GoGame.com 6 years, 11 months ago
Last year, three years after launch, Dying Light received 10 pieces of DLC across the space of 12 months. It’s a game that has persisted, and while Techland is now focused on Dying Light 2, due out in 2020, the original game has not been forgotten. Smektala isn’t sure what 2019’s sales have been like so far, and it’s unlikely we’ll see it get the attention it did last year, with Techland working to get Dying Light 2 ready for launch. And there’s now a small team which is working on additional st

In Automachef, you’re tasked with slotting automation equipment together in order to streamline the creation of *Italian gesture of blissful approval* automated cuisine. Whether it’s good for browsing Reddit or not, I’m not sure: but it’s definitely possible, thanks to this plug-in created by Reddit user DeltaTwoForce. As the gif below demonstrates, the plug-in turns Reddit into a tight descending dungeon, with each floor dedicated to its own thread. This is a .gif of the plug-in in action, created by the plug-in’s programmer, DeltaTwoForce:Is this a pleasant way of reading Reddit? But the point is that it’s possible, just like lots of other ridiculous things ar
