The Netflix original Witcher series has been underway for a while now. Last we’d heard, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the writer on Netflix’s Daredevil and The Defenders, was also writing The Witcher. The pilot script is what they will show Netflix in hopes that they’ll greenlight its production. Once the pilot is made, they will decide if its good enough for a full series. There is a Polish TV series based on The Witcher, which even spawned a movie.
