Ruin is an upcoming RPG for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. A new name change has been implemented for the title and it is now called Warrior’s Lair. It is enough to remind you of all the bland and vague RPG titles of systems past. However, with a name like Warrior’s Lair, there is no question what you are getting yourself into. Warrior’s Lair, not Ruin, is set to release for the PS3 and PS Vita, but no release date has been announced.

Microsoft and Sony are both counting on their new motion control devices to breathe new life into their machines and keep consumers interested for several more years. At least one major publisher thinks that’s a pipe dream though, as power player Ubisoft doesn’t think that Move and Kinect have what it takes to keep either company from releasing a new console in the next five years. Company exec Alain Corre “doesn’t think” that the devices will even drum up interest for another 24 months, let alo

And most recently, the 2D reimagining of the series on XBLA garnered criticism for not being enough like the Metroidvania titles. A total reimagining of the series intended to make the lore more accessible to newcomers, it certainly looks pretty good. Let’s hope there’s nothing quite so terrifying and frustrating as one memorable sequence on the N64 version.
