gamezone wrote a new post, WATCH: Prey gets its first graphics and framerate comparison test video, on the site GoGame.com 9 years, 6 months ago
Digital Foundry took the time to make a comparison video of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game (PC players didn’t get a demo) to take a hard look at performance. It’s especially notable because Prey was built in Cry Engine, which doesn’t have the greatest history when it comes to console releases. Overall, Prey’s technical performance is pretty sound from a resolution and framerate perspective, despite some controller lag on the PS4 version and a weird audio quirk. As far as the gameplay

The biggest detail to glean from the post is that the mystery console that will be used to show off Destiny 2 is the PS4. gamezone wrote a new post, The original Half-life is finally uncensored in Germany, on the site GoGame.com 9 years, 6 months ago
Video game censorship is very much a thing, and every country seems to have their own way of going about it. Some are fixated on covering boobs and butts while others have issues with blood and guts. The original Half-life is one of the most infamous examples of blood and guts censorship, with human enemies being replaced by robots, blood-less enemy deaths, springs spewing from Barnacles, and friendly NPCs that sit down and shake their head when you shoot them (before they disappear). Valve is n

Mario Kart 8 ReviewRemaster? Additionally, the framerate stays consistently at 60, whether you play solo, or playing split-screen, another new feature the original game didn’t have. We can now play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe anywhere, at any time. If there was one mode that was sorely lacking in Mario Kart 8, it was most certainly Battle Mode, or at least, a true Battle Mode. If you have yet to experience the fantastic kart racer, then you should without a doubt be getting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Call of Duty: WWII on the other hand, appears to be focusing on a story with characters you really care about and realism. Senior Creative Director Bret Robbins spoke with Glixel about some of the more story driven games that inspired him. The big moments fall flat if you don’t care about the guys you’re with. This doesn’t mean there won’t be intense action or those big moments we’ve come to expect. Call of Duty: WWII will release on November 3rd, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Her web series, Tropes vs. Women in Video Games, has been a driving force in gender and race representation in gaming over the last several years, but it is coming to an end according to Sarkeesian herself in a blog post on the Feminist Frequency website. It’s definitely time for it to be over, time for Feminist Frequency as an organization and for me personally to move on. But I keep thinking about all the ways that the world of video games has changed since that day, almost five years ago, whe

It’s not like there was much doubt, but Nintendo has officially announced that they will not be hosting a “large scale” press conference this year at E3 2017. The news came from the company’s latest financial results briefing, They did not reveal what exactly their plans were, only saying they would do so at “a later date.” With the Nintendo Switch surging in sales, it would seem prudent for Nintendo to keep pushing the new console, and with the unannounced games still on the horizon, E3 would b

gamezone wrote a new post, Review Roundup: Outlast 2 is a terrifying sequel that fails to innovate, on the site GoGame.com 9 years, 6 months ago
In 2013, a little game by the name of Outlast hit the PC and redefined survival horror. “Outlast 2 is a terrifying sequel that builds upon the scares of the 2013 original. Stretched over twice the length of the original game, Outlast 2’s gameplay starts to wear thin, especially since too many of its scripted chases funnel you down preset paths. At the same time, however, I admire its purity, and to an extent, I’m willing to accept its shortcomings for the sake of true survival horror. Horror gam
