The Settlers of Catan first released in 1996 as a game that brought players into the roles of settlers who are each attempting to build and develop their holdings, while acquiring (or bartering) resources to build things. Basically, if you can’t barter for resources, you’re going to have a tough time playing the game. According to Variety, Sony is looking secure the rights to adapt the board game into a film. It’s Thursday and that typically means Xbox owners should prepare their bodies for the announcement of some new backward compatible games for the Xbox One! Today’s newly added backward compatible games are Child of Eden, Goat Simulator, and KOF Sky Stage. Goat Simulator released on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 back in April 2015, so it’s curious to see the game re-release on the Xbox One as a port of the Xbox 360 version, but anyone who previously owned the game on Xbox 360 and doesn’t own it on th

gamezone wrote a new post, Review in Progress: Guild Wars 2 ‘Path of Fire’ has a mix of good and bad, but mounts are great, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 8 months ago
But Path of Fire brings with it, the biggest addition to Guild Wars 2, mounts. Developers are always listening to feedback from players, so to give you all a hard review, is nearly impossible. Instead, consider this review a heartfelt suggestion, a review in progress, if you will, that may be revisited from time to time. Players who love Guild Wars for the story and questing will absolutely enjoy what ArenaNet has created. I’m happy to report that Path of Fire is not merely a new coat of paint o

Cuphead is a hard game. But surely the people responsible for its exclusive release on Xbox One and PC can beat it, right? Phil Spencer: Big bad video game boss of Xbox and expert player of games, has yet to beat Cuphead. Being the Grand Puba at Xbox grants one many favors, such as playing games ahead of release. That’s a game that probably wouldn’t have happened the way it did if we didn’t invest the way we did.”

Over the past two weeks, gamers have been growing more and more divided on the subject of loot crates. Recently, the ESRB has come out to say that they do not believe loot crates to be gambling. Now, the European equivalent of the ESRB, PEGI, has revealed their thoughts on loot crates, and it’s not too different. On top of that, they know they aren’t the ones to make the decision on if loot crates are gambling anyway. Therefore, the games that get a PEGI gambling content descriptor either contai

Final Fantasy XV took a very long time to be developed. The first is an episodic version of the game called Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition for iOS and Android coming later this year. The second is a full-fledged version of the main title for PC called Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition, set to launch in early 2018. So why don’t we have to wait years for this version like we did for the initial console version? “Our aim is to make players want to play the PC version, even if they know about the

Nearly one month ago, it was made clear that PlayStation and Xbox players could play together. Recently, Microsoft has brought together PC, Nintendo Switch (the update has yet to release on the Switch), and Xbox players in Minecraft with the Better Together update. In fact, allowing cross-play could even be better for developers, as they wouldn’t have to create multiple online environments. “I think people look at [cross-play] and say is it better for gamers. Speaking with Gamespot, Netherrealm founder and co-creator of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon discussed the possibility of bringing his company’s latest game, DC’s Injustice 2, to the Switch. Admittedly, he said there would obviously be some concessions, like graphics quality and fidelity, but it can be done. So is he interested, does he have an interest in making Switch games? It [The Switch] is a pretty different hardware architecture; it’s not like you can go from a PlayStation 4 to a Switch really ea

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is a rather dark and grim game, something which is sort of to be expected in a game about Mordor, but even in the darkest of times there is light. One Orc, Shaka the Singing Warchief decided to brighten the mood for his fellow comrades and wield a lute and not a sword. The first time players encounter the lute hero he sings them a little song before he tries to kill them. Middle-earth: Shadow of War is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Denuvo is a major trigger world when it comes to PC Gaming as user reviews on Steam are often dictated by whether or not a game has it. In the wake of these controversies, seeing how quickly Denuvo can be cracked has become something of a sport. As reported by DSO Gaming, the anti-tamper ware has already been cracked just a day after the game launched to the world. The purpose of Denuvo
