Earlier this year, gaming giant Nintendo recovered from a lackluster generation with the release of the Nintendo Switch, a hybrid between a console and a handheld device. Gamers loved the concept and the release of high-quality games like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild helped prove that Nintendo was back on their A-Game. The console has achieved great success in the form of developer support and impressive sales and Nintendo plans to keep it up going into the new year. Speaking to 4Gamer, N

We’ve all done things we wish we could take back and right now, UNC senior point guard Joel Berry II is having one of those moments. After losing a round of NBA 2K18 to fellow Tar Heel teammate Theo Pinson and a team manager, Berry managed to break his right hand after punching a door in frustration. UNC starts its season on Friday, November 10th against Northern Iowa, so it seems likely he will miss the opener. Depending on the start the Tar Heels get off to, it could very well be the former. N

Last week, the Nintendo Switch got a fairly meaty firmware update which included a bundle of new and exciting features including GameCube controller support. Unfortunately, as it is typical, the addition of the new features seemed to inadvertently break something else, as some Switch users reported having issues with the system’s HDMI port outputting sound and video. Nintendo has now released a small update, with a very brief description of what it does. In other Nintendo Switch news, the consol

You have to feel for Sonic fans sometimes as they really do get the short end of the stick in just about everything. While things were looking up with the high reception of Sonic Mania, it seems things are off to a bit of an iffy start with Sonic Forces, and I’m not even talking about the gameplay itself. Today, Japanese Nintendo Switch owners (or indeed anyone with a Japanese account) got the chance to download a playable demo of Sonic Forces. GameXplain posted a new video today titled “The Son

NPD analyst Mat Piscatella told GamesIndustry.biz that AAA game sales remain steady, in spite of the negativity surrounding loot crates. “I would not say that the presence of loot boxes causes games to sell at higher levels than games without loot boxes,” said Piscatella. Loot boxes could still very well have a negative impact on game sales in the future, and Piscatella says that nothing is set in stone right now. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has the potential to teach us a lot about consumer behavi

Netflix’s Daredevil has a lot of things going for it, but one of its best traits is the performance of Vincent D’Onofrio in his role of Wilson Fisk (AKA Kingpin). D’Onofrio is arguably the best actor in the show, so it comes as no surprise that he has re-upped for the series’ third season. Loeb added, “We’re very excited how Marvel’s Daredevil develops through the creative lens and guidance of our new showrunner, Erik Oleson.” There’s currently no word on when any of them will launch, but Darede
