Super Mario Odyssey does away with the concept of lives. Mario never loses lives in Odyssey, just some of his hard earned cash. Translation: When Mario’s HP is reduced to zero or he falls off the stage, he loses 10 coins. Even if you fall with 9 coins or less, you won’t get a game over. Check out our central hub for more Super Mario Odyssey info, and watch more than an hour of Super Mario Odyssey in action from E3.

The main heroes and villains from most of the numbered Final Fantasy games makes the cut, right up to Noctis from Final Fantasy 15, if an Amazon listing is to be believed , and even Ace from the more obscure Type-0. “We have prepared a good length of cutscenes, and so it’s much more than you’d expect from just a fighting game.” This is because we wanted more people to enjoy the battles of Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT compared to the arcade version.” They want every addition to feel genuine, becaus

gamesradar wrote a new post, FIFA 18 is coming to Switch, but can it fix Nintendo’s troubled relationship with football games?, on the site GoGame.com 9 years, 1 month ago
Nintendo Switch owners will be pleased, then, that FIFA 18 is launching on the system. There’s only one real omission from FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch, but it’s a major one: The Journey, the story-based mode introduced in FIFA 17, will not be included. But this was arguably the last time that a Nintendo console established itself as a go-to platform for football games. You’d be hard-pressed to find any football game fan who enjoyed wrangling with the Wiimote-based control schemes to play them, th

Game of Thrones season 7 is promising a lot: more battles, longer episodes and, maybe, just maybe a more stabby Sansa Stark. Sophie Turner, the actress who plays the eldest Stark child, has revealed she wants to get a bit more hands-on, in the most brutal way possible. I want more kills!”Turner doesn’t stop there, oh no. Ideally, I’d like her to get her revenge on Cersei and many of the others who have done her wrong.”Sansa Stark is an odd one in Thrones. Here’s hoping she can get her hands dirt

Spider-Man: Homecoming (and its many, many trailers) is full to the brim with fantastic scenes but – minor spoilers for the movie here – there’s one iconic scene from the trailers that didn’t make the final cut. The scene in question involves that shot in the trailers of Iron Man and Spider-Man swooping over Queens. It screams take all my money but, unfortunately, was MIA in the finished product. Let’s use that as a backdrop.’ Because we couldn’t just create a whole new shot, so let’s just use o

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy lies somewhere between remaster and remake, which is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, you have all-new models and sound to make the game feel fresh and presentable to a contemporary audience. Ever since the game’s release, fans have been lamenting on social media that the game feels harder than they remember. Don’t feel bad if you’re struggling with the N. Sane Trilogy. While none of these changes make the game impossible, it certainly makes some

gamesradar wrote a new post, GTA 5 modding tool OpenIV returns after legal threats, minus its Liberty City project, on the site GoGame.com 9 years, 1 month ago
Just weeks after GTA 5 parent company Take-Two shut down OpenIV, the game’s most popular modding tool has returned with a go-ahead from the powers that be. Much of OpenIV’s recent development was driven by the team’s other flagship project: “Liberty City in GTA 5”, an extensive conversion of GTA 4’s NYC-inspired setting for use in GTA 5. It’s a shame, but at least modders have clear guidelines to work from now to ensure their hard work won’t be torn down by angry lawyers. Will the return of Open

With The Tower destroyed, Bungie needed to give players a new social space to chill at between missions. That new space is The Farm. The space will change and evolve as you progressThe Tower was a fine enough locale, but other than special holiday events, it was pretty static and unchanging. That apparently won’t be the case with The Farm, as Bungie mentions adding new NPCs and visual changes as you progress through the story. About the only thing The Farm doesn’t have is Grimoire Cards, and I d

Case in point: there is a scene in the movie where Tom Holland fights someone, but even he doesn’t know who. This reimagining of Assassin’s Creed as a PS1 game is so good I’m almost having false memories of playing it. Everything from the fogging, to the little spinny memory card save icon is just so on point. It’s the work of 98DEMAKE, who we featured before, explaining how he creates these retro versions of old games. We also held a vote on what to do next, and you lot chose Assassin’s. As a restless, weak-kneed bon vivant, I suspect I probably wouldn’t make it through the Agency’s stringent vetting process. But that’s the challenge my OXM handlers have assigned me: to pull off the perfect assassination on the Sapienza level of Hitman. My first target is Silvio Caruso, a bioengineer who lives and works within a tightly-guarded mansion-cum-laboratory. You see, I’ve noticed that this store faces directly onto the Caruso estate, and what’s more, it’s connected to the town’s clock
