gamesradar wrote a new post, Psychonauts 2 dev team releases video of the game’s first playable area, and it looks fantabulous, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
Last October, Psychonauts 2 director Tim Schafer and project lead Zak McClendon showed off the game’s first prototype gameplay. Now, those ideas have blossomed into a demo of sorts, and you can watch Schafer and McClendon break it all down. If you’re not familiar, Psychonauts exists on two planes: the real world and the mental world. What you see now is the real world, the location that will act as Psychonauts 2’s hub. A straight sequel to the 2005 original (with Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ru

gamesradar wrote a new post, Telltale will remove image of real-life assassination victim from Batman: The Enemy Within, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
“An update to the game has been submitted this morning that will be removing the image across all platforms.” The image was discovered and shared on social media and shows Karlov’s body superimposed onto a scene of a robbery at Gotham brokerage. The photo is one that can be found on image library Getty, and costs around $575 to licence. The image was almost certainly mistaken by an unnamed developer for a stock photo, or intended to be used as reference and swapped out at a later date. Karlov wa

gamesradar wrote a new post, At ease Guardians, Bungie confirms new weapons for Destiny 2’s Iron Banner event, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
There’s nothing a Destiny player craves more than new content, but Bungie’s Iron Banner announcement this week left us a little nervous. Today in emails with GamesRadar+, a Bungie spokesperson confirmed that you’ll “be able to earn weapons in next week’s Iron Banner event” and most importantly that they’re “Iron Banner themed weapons,” rather than from the existing pool of boomsticks. Fingers crossed we’ll hear about those ideas before we get bored of playing with our new Iron Banner guns. Iron

Level blockouts are art. Specifically, it refers to “blocking out,” the process of creating a very early version of a game’s level or environment. Other devs quickly joined in, sharing level blockouts from games like Overwatch, Titanfall, Gears of War 4, Dead Space 2, Payday 2, and many more. #Blocktober #Overwatch #junkertown #leveldesign pic.twitter.com/dEw5sUlwLgOctober 4, 2017Loving #Blocktober where LD’s show early blockouts! #Blocktober pic.twitter.com/Na3B4Nv8HfOctober 2, 2017So #Blocktob

gamesradar wrote a new post, Watch Silicon Valley’s Kumail Nanjiani play Shadow Of War, and fight his own orc, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
Nanjiani actually leant his voice to one of the orcs in the game, and tells O’Brien he’s pretty nervous about it, before we see his orc – Dugz The Agonizer – in action. “He sounds exactly like an orc,” de Plater tells O’Brien, as Dugz The Agonizer chats away in the background about the difference between a pike and a spear. “A lot of people say video games can be stifling. “For me, video games broadened my horizons. That’s the setup for Never Stop Sneakin’, an action/stealth game from Dean Dodrill that lampoons and parodies games like the Metal Gear Solid series. Dodrill was also the creator of the excellent Dust: An Elysian Tail, so it’s safe to assume a good amount of action. “I had several goals I wanted to accomplish with my sophomore effort as a game developer,” Dodrill tweeted about the game. Alex Kain, who served as co-writer on Dust (as well as lore writer on Salt & Sanctuary and Armello), will hand

gamesradar wrote a new post, Pacific Rim Uprising trailer introduces new mechs and monsters, John Boyega spills beans on the plot, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
Despite ostensibly being a big-budget Hollywood film with stars like John Boyega onboard, Pacific Rim 2 (okay, it’s actually called Pacific Rim Uprising) has been relatively shrouded in mystery since its announcement. A new trailer and interview has given fans a ton of new info about this mechs vs giant monsters movie. The trailer shows off new Jaegers (mechs) and Kaiju (monsters) – including one that towers over the Jaegers (which are already basically walking towers so… yikes). He’ll also re

gamesradar wrote a new post, There’s a lot of Breath of the Wild in Super Mario Odyssey, the most transformative Mario since 64, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
There’s an awful lot of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in Super Mario Odyssey. Super Mario Odyssey, like hakoniwa, is dense and intricate, painstakingly assembled by extremely skilled hands. But in Super Mario Odyssey, the space is more compact. Super Mario 64 and Sunshine were built along the same lines, albeit subtly changing the level layout for each new objective. In Super Mario Odyssey, our hero willingly, constantly gives it away – and doing so makes him immeasurably, transformati

What’s Xur selling this week and is it worth the shards? This week it’s all about Vigilance Wing, a health and speed boosting five-shot pulse rifle that’s an excellent choice for the Crucible. Check out the video for more info on everything Xur’s selling and to see Vigilance Wing in action. Go up the road and look for green rocks on the left, go into that area and look up – you’ll see Xur on an outcrop overhead. Should you buy Vigilance Wing?

gamesradar wrote a new post, The best cosplay from New York Comic Con 2017 (so far), on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
New York is the home of Spider-Man, Nightwing, the Ghostbusters, Daredevil, the odd Kaiju, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and a whole host of other fictional characters, so it’s rather fitting that a ton of heroes, villains, and monsters are wandering the convention halls of New York Comic Con this weekend. That’s right, the annual NYCC brings with it an army of incredible cosplayers, and this year has been exceptionally impressive in terms of the variety, creativity, and authenticity of the cost

gamesradar wrote a new post, Game of Thrones season 8 filming has been pushed back which means *sob* no episodes until (probably) 2019, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
Sorry, Thrones fans: You might have to wait a little while longer yet to watch Game of Thrones season 8. There’s been no concrete air date for the final Thrones season yet, but one actor’s reveal of their filming schedule leaves very little time for a 2018 turnaround. So that obviously will translate into longer episodes.” But that definitely means 2019 is looking more like a distinct possibility with every passing day. Then again, six normal-sized episodes isn’t a great deal to wrap up every lo

gamesradar wrote a new post, Rare on Sea of Thieves’ pirate fantasies, Xbox One X, and the players who died (in-game), forever remembered in graffiti, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
That is the typical adventure you could go on in Sea Of Thieves, and it really shows a different purpose for the island-based gameplay. I think our game is actually better than our trailer – a lot of the time it’s almost the other way round. You could hear the players in the E3 booth, too – the chaos and the laughter and the shouting. That’s really interesting! I think that’s ultimately where players will go with this.

gamesradar wrote a new post, Need help beating the Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid? Here’s how to cheese the final boss, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 10 months ago
At this point, finding exploits in the Destiny franchise is as big a part of the game as looting engrams or riding Sparrows. In the original Destiny, players tricked Atheon into falling off a ledge and thus killing himself. And now, in Destiny 2, a group of players have figured out how to use exploits to beat (or ‘cheese’) the final boss in the Leviathan Raid. If players disconnect at the right moment, all the enemies (other than the boss itself) fail to spawn, making the fight much easier. As l
