  • A new trailer for the Punisher TV series has revealed that the show will premiere on Netflix on November 17. Meanwhile, a detective is looking for him and she thinks Castle might have connections to a case she’s currently working on. Speaking of Karen, she’s back as well, probably there to help curb Castle’s rage and help him with the less bloody parts of his quest. I don’t know about you, but watching the trailer, I felt like I was witnessing a modern-day version of this scene from Rambo: First

From October 20 to November 2, the Pokemon Go Halloween event will allow players to catch some of Gen 3’s spookiest critters – including Sableye, Duskull, Dusclops, Shuppet, and Banette. Gen 3 Ghost types won’t be the only Pokemon to catch during the event, nor are they its only reward. As for the remaining 120+ Gen 3 Pokemon, Niantic writes that “Pokemon first seen in

  • Destiny 2’s first Prestige Raid went up and was cleared in a remarkably short time yesterday, but people will probably be mad about it (and each other) for weeks to come. Congratulations to Clan Redeem for being World First to complete the Prestige Raid… by a margin of only four minutes! This drew a response from Bungie community manager Chris “Cozmo” Shannon, posting via his account on Reddit’s Destiny forum: “We have seen the reports that an ammo exploit was used today in the Prestige Raid.

  • The main reason anyone plays a Star Wars game for is that fantasy. The first few hours of Star Wars Battlefront 2’s solo campaign does, so far, deliver that. Murdering wave after wave of the good guys feels like you’re playing Wolfenstein as the Nazis. If you went to a Star Wars attraction at Disney you wouldn’t expect the Stormtroopers to actually whack you with rifle butts, just make the ‘tszk’ noise before talking and pose for pictures. This is basically the gaming equivalent of that, and fro

  • Named Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, these releases are doing something a little different to the traditional third game in the generation – like Pokémon Emerald to Sapphire and Ruby for example, or Platinum to Diamond and Pearl. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are taking the same area used in Sun and Moon, known as Alola, and telling a totally different story that builds on that of the base games. • The Sony-produced Venom movie may adapt a 1993 mini-series called Venom: Lethal Protector, according to Omega Underground. That might not sound like a lot, but both are key elements of the Lethal Protector arc. If you’re not familiar, Lethal Protector begins with Eddie Brock and his living alien costume (together known as Venom) settling in San Francisco. Still, Lethal Protector (with some revisions) could fit perfectly for a solo Venom film. If you’re thinking of picking up your own copy ahead

  • That’s the message that rang out from this year’s E3 PlayStation press conference back in June. The time of snuggling up in the easygoing embrace of happy-go-lucky fare like Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, and LittleBigPlanet is over. Sony’s LA presser was brimming to bursting point with spectacular upcoming titles, so this glumness filling the air has nothing to do with quality. • Game of Thrones is always full of little hints and, let’s just say, interesting prophecies. There’s one big Game of Thrones season 7 reveal, though, that was hinted at a long time ago: Jon Snow’s real name. As we now know, Jon Snow’s birth name is Aegon. Except season 7 wasn’t the first time we heard that name, it was also uttered by a prominent ally of Jon. Liam Cunningham, Davos’ actor, had no clue about that Easter egg though, to put it mildly, telling Huffington Post: “No, are you kidding me

  • Easter eggs have been part and parcel of the MCU since, seemingly, the dawn of time. Thor: Ragnarok is no different. President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, actually took time out to reveal his favourite Easter egg from the upcoming movie and – here’s the catch – it’s in the very first second of the Thor: Ragnarok SDCC trailer. Speaking at a press junket for the film, as reported by Screen Rant, Feige uncharacteristically opens up, prior to the movie’s release, about one of the hidden backgrou

  • He’s the star of the best damn horror game Capcom never made. Dead Space was the brilliant by-product of a newly open-minded EA. Such strategic combat immediately elevates Dead Space above your average PS3 shooter, but it’s the Ishimura that really steals the show. Despite the team at Visceral delivering a terrific sequel in 2011, the underwhelming Dead Space 3 rounded off the trilogy with a whimper. That’s one hell of a shame, because if it wasn’t for Dead Space combining sci-fi and horror to s

  • A system patented by Activision could use a player’s matchmaking experience to help drive microtransactions, Rolling Stone’s Glixel reports. If implemented, the system would use data regarding a player’s microtransactions (or lack thereof) to influence who that player gets paired with. “For example, if the player purchased a particular weapon, the microtransaction engine may match the player in a gameplay session in which the particular weapon is highly effective, giving the player an impression

  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi is mired in secrecy. For some fans, that’s just how they like it. One particular theory gained a lot of traction over the week, so much so that it prompted a response from the Jedi Master himself, Mark Hamill. The theory says that it’s Luke, and not Supreme Leader Snoke, who is the true big bad of the whole trilogy. In response to this, Hamill tweeted:NEWS FLASH for all you “Villains Looming at the Back of Posters” theorists: Luke was ALWAYS the villain!

  • So maybe Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds doesn’t inherently lend itself to the concept of a clone paired up with the license for a 26-year-old action movie. But this Terminator 2: Judgement Day mobile battle royale game from Chinese tech giant NetEase?
