gamesradar wrote a new post, 7 questions I have after watching Star Trek Discovery season 1 episode 14 – The War Without, the War Within, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
This week’s Star Trek Discovery, episode 14, The War Without, the War Within , is a bit of a mess, to be honest. The Mirror Universe version of Georgiou is on board, for a start. Like, really really? It’s likely that this burying of the Mirror Universe is just a way of maintaining later Star Trek continuity, so it’ll probably happen. Either that, or it’s 100% self-serving, and she’s a really good liar.

gamesradar wrote a new post, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy could be coming to Switch and PC this year, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is headed to Nintendo Switch and PC this year, according to a manager at a major UK licensing firm. The N. Sane Trilogy came out exclusively on PlayStation 4 last year, a fitting tribute to Crash Bandicoot’s roots as an early PlayStation mascot. The N. Sane Trilogy was a big sales success on PS4 so Activision could understandably want to keep the ball rolling on more platforms. We don’t know anything about that other Crash game Arguile mentioned for 2019; though h

gamesradar wrote a new post, The first Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer has fans split on babyface Han, but everyone loves Lando, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
After months going by without so much as an official title and a mid-production change in directors, the first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story (or Star Wars: Solo as some have taken to calling it) is here. You say you’re not too sure this Alden Ehrenreich can carry the part, but damn does Donald Glover look good as a young Lando Calrissian? Or maybe you’re feeling a mix of all of the above. “The fact that the first words from a Star Wars film after the prequels were “This will begin to make

gamesradar wrote a new post, Movies to watch this week at the cinema: Loveless, The Mercy, and more, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
Populated by loathsome, self-serving characters, and portraying a country in crisis, Loveless has no easy answers. Zvyagintsev’s message is clear – in a country without empathy, how can its citizens hold on to their humanity? But he overplays his hand with radio reports on apocalyptic Mayan prophecies and political corruption. All the same, this chilly thriller is another highly accomplished feature to add to a formidable body of work. Director: Andrey Zvyagintsev; Starring: Maryana Spivak, Alex

Plus, box sets offer an opportunity for studios to get creative, packaging hours of viewing content into unique cases that range from the majestic to the downright bonkers. Here’s our pickings of the best TV box sets that you can buy right now. But you won’t find any disintegrated innards in this box set barrel. But, but, but… there’s still good reason to buy this Blu-Ray box set yet.

gamesradar wrote a new post, Star Trek Discovery S1.14 review: “Packed-out pacing means it suffers where it really matters”, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
At the end of its last episode, Star Trek Discovery had two options, and neither felt ideal. Or it could smash onward in an attempt to squeeze everything into the next two episodes, and deal with all by season’s end, while risking more pacing issues. With Episode 14: The War Without, the War Within, Discovery seems to be taking the latter approach. And while this does make for a dramatic sense of rapid escalation, the show does indeed suffer. And alas, it suffers where it really matters for Star

It is, of course, the penultimate episode of Star Trek Discovery’s first season, and it still managed to impress without entering warp speed. Spoilers for Star Trek Discovery within. Case in point: Captain Georgiou died early in the show’s run and we’ve met Mirror Universe Emperor Georgiou who is now… Captain Georgiou in our universe. Long live Captain Georgiou! #StarTrekDiscovery #OnFleet pic.twitter.com/NAakpZDm3D5 February 2018And again, Star Trek Discovery blows my mind.

Minor spoilers follow…On The Cloverfield Paradox’s incoherent narrative – The Guardian (2/5)“As the film bumbles from one confusingly mounted scene to the next, disappointment turns to boredom. gamesradar wrote a new post, Movies to watch on Blu-Ray and DVD: Blade Runner 2049, The Lego Ninjago Movie, and more, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
For a film in which the premise rests entirely on a shaky foundation of ambiguity, there’s sadly little room for interpretation when it comes to Blade Runner 2049’s box-office performance. There’s a grimly satisfying symmetry, though, in this failing; it’s one of myriad ways in which 2049 lives up to its epochal predecessor. The commitment to practical effects adds to the connection with the original – it very much feels like the same world. While its short-term audience has clearly been restric

But when you get right down to it, very few of these games depict a world that feels real. But Kingdom Come: Deliverance aims to deliver a different type of RPG experience – one rooted in history and realistic portrayals of medieval society. Developed by Czech Republic-based Warhorse Studios, Kingdom Come: Deliverance tells the story of a 15th century blacksmith’s son, who is the sole survivor of an attack on his village. Remember the first time you saw The Witcher games and you could just tell

Now, I find it particularly notable that – again, anecdotally – Monster Hunter specifically seems to be pulling in the hardest-core Destiny players. Because the thing that type of Destiny player wants – and I know this for I am one – is what Monster Hunter World is laser-focused on delivering. And now Monster Hunter World is letting us do the exact same thing. Physically, Monster Hunter World is a vast, ocean-sized ecosystem of things to experiment with and manipulate. Because Ubisoft has announced the three expansions coming in the Far Cry 5 season pass, and they certainly sound wild enough that some would describe it as such. Thankfully, there is one thing coming in the season pass that I know I’ll enjoy: Far Cry 3 Classic Edition. Yep, the Far Cry that for many still stands as the apex of the series is coming to PS4 and Xbox One. Far Cry 5 season pass holders will get a copy of the game for free, four weeks before it goes on sale as a standalone purchase. S

gamesradar wrote a new post, Here’s how to play God of War early (in official text adventure form), on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
Still more than a month to go until God of War comes out on PS4, but you can play through a different kind of adventure with Kratos and his son Atreus right now: the text kind. The story seems to take place shortly before the beginning of God of War. Atreus’ mother is still alive and schooling the boy in archery and runes, while Kratos goes off hunting all day. Don’t be intimidated if you’ve never done a text adventure or if you, like me, have tried to play Zork a half-dozen times but always get

I’ve put over 150 hours into Overwatch , but only about two of those hours have been spent playing anything other than a Tank or Support hero. Offense and Defense roles come with high expectations, and I’m just too nervous to even think about dabbling with Doomfist or jumping in as Junkrat. I’m sure I’m not the only one, either. This is where the Omen by HP Bootcamp comes in, which is taking place at this month’s PC Gamer Weekender from February 17 – 18. To give you an idea of what to expect, he

gamesradar wrote a new post, With The Defenders assembled and Infinity War on the way, Marvel needs to find a way of bringing its two supergroups closer together, on the site GoGame.com 8 years, 6 months ago
It’s weird to think that The Punisher exists in the same universe as Baby Groot, but he does. They’re all characters cohabitating the same fictional canvas, but the spheres in which they exist somehow feel worlds apart. Daredevil season 1 was the beginning of that project and, given that it remains one of the best seasons in the Marvel Netflix pantheon to date, it’s safe to say that this decision was a smart move. Secondly, this is Marvel we’re talking about; the company who popularised shared u

Here’s our pick of the games, movies and TV shows to watch out for this week. The two RPGs are similarly matched in their love of turning the tables on dangerous predators, so perhaps it’s no surprise that a Watcher doesn’t look out of place in Monster Hunter World. Star Wars: The Last Jedi had a lot going on. One thing it didn’t address, however, was the quality bit of father/son bonding time that went down in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Johnson ends the topic on these words and, really, it’s a nice summary of the beauty of Star Wars as a whole. The conversation around Star Wars: The Last Jedi is almost bigger than the movie itself.
