All in all, new non-lethal weapons in Watch Dogs 2 is very much a good thing. I spent quite a bit of time watching Watch Dogs 2’s AI get into rapidly escalating scraps. It doesn’t feel like a particularly memorable send-off, either, although it is fun in a Watch Dogs 2 kind of way.

Pikmin’s portable side-scrolling spin-off, Hey! Pikmin, now has a release date of 28th July on 3DS. Nintendo announced the release date at the top of its Nintendo Direct stream tonight. Like other Pikmin titles, this handheld outing puts players in the space boots of stranded astronaut Captain Olimar as he befriends sentient vegetables and manipulates them into doing his bidding. A new Pikmin amiibo, portraying the colourful critters clustered around a rock, will launch the same day.

Nintendo Switch is getting its own version of Payday 2. Its new Switch version is slated for “winter” this year. The PC version has evolved considerably since it first launched via a stream of updates and extra content – some free, some not. It’ll be interesting to see how much – if any – is included in the vanilla edition on Switch. During last night’s Direct broadcast, Nintendo stated “a huge amount of Payday 2 content” would be coming later this year.
